Sandra, please do not waste your time researching words into a God or any other religion, it is all hocus pocus.

The word religion is screen that people hide behind, they create clubs of like minded people to have some sort of belief that they can cling to in times of stress. The religious leaders also wield power by brainwashing their brand of believers into carrying out all kinds of activities in the name of that particular religion.

How can there be so many religions in the world if they are not man manufactured? It is impossible that so many different forms of a superior being are behind each and every form of religion.

Jesus was supposed to be a Jew, yet he was also said to be a Christian, so why are Christians and Jews fighting each other in the name of one religion ?

We as a species are alone in the universe that we know, there are no others, and we evolved from animal life. We have to be animals to behave in the way some of us do today, human life has reached a turning point whereby violence is the order of the day, sex crimes are increasing out of control, law and order is losing its control, and religious fanatics threaten our very existence with their own brand of twisted thinking.

Religion should be eradicated, or controlled.

I do not agree with you. Beyond religions it is God and we all feel that in our heart. I agree that religions have mistake a lot....but those are men mistakes not God´s
I asked that because I know LC has searched for God trhough his life but I want to read HIS words about this. I am doing a research about this thinking in several artists and I can see that many of them when talk about religion focus in the human bad aspects of that and the most they do is criticize but do not see the good part of spirituality.

Hello Sandra, it is a very interesting and vast subject! I feel dizzy just to think about the sum of paper you will have to read. For beginning there is a seach engine here that you can use to find valuable information, and I suggest that you visit the LC webring. And for the out-net documentation you will find on the sites all the references to books that you need. And maybe fans would fill you with information that are not already known if you ask in all the different forum. And if you are very very lucky maybe LC would accept an interview about all this after your hard work of research.

I hope you will let us know of your conclusions.

Tchocolatl.!
I am very enthusiastic about this research even when I know it is hard to get all the information and I do not want to make myself a judge but just to look for what they say and believe.(even when I should point my vision)
I think there is a great need for spiritual experiences and spiritual trues but people in general do not how to get to them or they think they may get to that through reason and that is impossible.
To make other to get to spirituality is impossible and as far as I know the ffirst step is wanting that and asking for that (praying)
I will surely need time to do this.....and I hope to reach what I want....
thank you for your positive, supporting words

I'm pleased if I have been of any help to you Sandra. :D

I'm also fascinated with Leonard Cohen search for the authenticity.

Leonard Cohen is not an ordinary man, and in my eyes, he was more found of spirituality and not so interested into religions when they are just for him some empty rituals. What he did with the song Who by Fire could be seen as (to say the less) an iconoclast song for the very orthodox jews. As far as I can see, right now, he was more interested into the Truth than anything. "But I may be wrong"(chou la la la, be chou la la - in the back ground).
