Villanelle for Leonard

Post by sammu5 »

Dear Friends,
I'm new to this forum so am still finding my feet. I joined after going to see Mr Leonard in Granada. The concert was totally awesome and fulfilled my dream of seeing the Master live (plus all his wonderful backing musicians). I have been listening to Mr Leonard for years and it's both wonderful and amazing that he is back on the stage. How lucky we are!!! How lucky I am - especially to see him in such a beautiful place as Granada. Ok, the stadium was actually a bullring! But seated on the red sand of the bullring floor only added to the poignancy of the evening. Below is the link for a poem I wrote a few months ago as a tribute to Mr L. At the time I was listening non stop to Dear Heather. My humble offering combines music, words and images. It was a bit of an experiment... but you can find it on YouTube if you feel so inclined. I would certainly welcome comments :D Thank you, sam

Hi Sammu5 :)

I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed this, I love your voice in it and the guitar accompaniment, it really holds the mood of the words you are speaking.
I think it's so beautifully done.
Thanks for sharing
