Hatred

Post by George.Wright »

and they finally have discovered water on Mars
and this must increase the possibility of life on planets on other stars
and to think that we thought we were the Godhead of creation
God's direct donor link, the only sure foundation
and all of the rest of the universe was made, just as a celebration
and black babies still starve, whilst skywards we make a gesticulation
and old jules verne was right
the martians have landed in the middle of the night
whilst we build our arms to fight
one another from long distance
no need for the sword
or sweaty angry exchanges of battle
we have the babies rattle
of death flem in their lungs
whilst we modify the distance that wars become
of hatred in heart
of the genocide that will be about to start
the martian's are smiling, at the distaste
whilst we fight each other with so much hatred and waste
our arsenic is with arsenic laced
and there was so much to be learned from the exploration of space and time
that could have motivated this heavy heart of mine
and all i could see where the tears in your eyes
where your hate got worse and turned to despise
and the pyramid lay hidden under the red dust and will rise
on the flowerbed of many a deliberate planted lie
from goverments that persue
the weakest that is in me and you

The thoughts in this, and many of their expressions, are excellent in the way I perceive these things, Georges.

Excellent sentiments George.

I have also wondered what other intelligent beings somewhere in the universe must think of our so-called civilisation. For example there is actually no need for people on our planet to suffer or starve. It's more a question of co-operation, education, and distribution, but human nature being what it is, we are a long way from such an ideal. :(

If we could create the proper sentiments, Margaret, we would all benefit and move on.
Put wars to rest and attempt to live in peace and wealth for all of us.

Mars, and the rape of Mars will cost 100 times more than enabling every single human being on this planet to live in peace with a full belly. Since man walked on the Moon, research and development of artificial intelligence and robotics has meant that we can now send unmanned vehicles and laboratories to far off places, without the need to put men in danger, and also be able to fulfil ALL the tests and exploration, which men can do. There is no reason whatsoever to send men to Mars. Science has the means to do the job without them. But hey, why save lives on our own planet when we can set about ruining another one. Human beings carry microbes. Any introduction of microbes to another planet may cause untold devastation. We do not know what is there yet. We can find out through robots. Look at the caution which took place when men returned from space, and the Moon. Were they carrying diseases? Would we all be doomed? Now we are told that we may send our diseases to another planet. Selfishness on top of selfishness. The Chinese government has declared that it wants to go further than just putting their first man in orbit. Shock, horror!!
Suddenly, we are being told that man is going to Mars. Coincidence? Bollocks!!
A few powerful men and women would rather compete in a space race, than spend just half of the costs of such a venture in saving lives, souls, future human beings and the suffering we already have on this Earth.
I heard a great quote today when listening to a Belgian historian discussing the First World War. "The one thing we have learned about War, is that we still haven't learned about War."
George, I apologise for taking up so much of your thread, but I think you will empathise with my thoughts on this matter.
Regards. Byron.

Byron, space exploration before stopping poverty in the world, the sentiments of my poem.
You have only added layers to the expression, feel free to do so any time.
Best Regards.......Georges
