Slap my wrists for not knowing this (and not being bother to wade through my collection of LC albums) - but is the line 'all beauty must die' from Nick Cave's Wild Roses... a quote from LC? I just know it is (or if it isn't it should be) - any (probably dead obvious) answers?

I'm nowhere near familiar with every phrase that has come from Leonard. However, this seems not a far stretch from "A singer must die" ~ fuse this with "....come so far for beauty" ~ well, who knows. Given Nick Cave's admiration of Leonard, it would well be his own phrase, but inspired by some of the many, varied references to both death and beauty by Leonard.
