I have received the following pre-sale information from the local organizers in Tel Aviv:
- The pre-sale is only for Leonard Cohen Forum members who have logged into the Forum
- We will post a password which has to be used when calling to the ticket office. The password will be available only for our members who are logged-in.
Click on the "Board Index" and then find and click on "Summer Tour 2009 in Europe".
- The pre-sale is ONLY for members who are living OUTSIDE Israel. The ticket office does NOT take any orders from Israel.
- The tickets will be mailed to the address you will give in telephone. The address has to be outside Israel.
- You have to give your credit card information to the telephone operator who takes your order. Israeli credit cards are not accepted, only cards issued by a foreign bank outside Israel.
- They may also ask for your passport number. Orders with an Israeli passport are not accepted.
- The orders are to made by telephone (the numbers will be posted in this message when I get them). They have two numbers with a total of 5 operators. The operators speak English.
- The pre-sale opens on Friday July 31 at 10 am Israeli time (GMT/UTC+3) and closes at 8 pm. It re-opens on Saturday morning at 10 am and ends 8 pm.
- You may buy tickets at all price levels. The prices are: 1200-900-550-450 new shekels (1000 shekels is equivalent to about 265 USD or 186 eur)
- Mailing costs 5 USD per order
- Maximum number of tickets is 4 per order/member
- The seating plan will be posted on some local website when the public sale begins, not before
- The best seats at our pre-sale will be in row 14 (in the most expensive category). This means that rows 1 to 13 are not available for members.
Our members in Israel will have to wait until the public sale begins. The start time will be announced locally on Friday (it will begin after our pre-sale has closed). I am sure our members in Israel are sorry for these pre-sale restrictions, but there is nothing we can do to change this. With the news about the pre-sale already in all Israeli media, without the restrictions those five operators would get thousands of phone calls from Israel. The only outcome would be total chaos and always busy lines.

and what about Israeli members?
***Read the last paragraph in my message. Sorry, but there is nothing we can do. The arrangements are decided by the local organizer. You have to wait for the public sale. / Jarkko***

Re: PRE-SALE FOR NON-ISRAELI MEMBERS TO TEL AVIV
Will all seats be open for the pre-sale? Meaning are there designated seats for this sale?
***Members outside Israel can buy tickets at all price levels. I don't know the exact allocation nor location of the seats. / Jarkko***

Re: PRE-SALE FOR NON-ISRAELI MEMBERS TO TEL AVIV
Very disappointing.
One should keep in mind that the newly established LC Israeli Fans Club enables its members to purchase good seats in all price-levels, yet the membership costs money (about 20 USD per year), and is already closed.

Nevermind, as long as Leonard will be speaking to us sweetly from his window in the Tower of Song, we don't feel so close to everything that we lost...Everybody talking to their pockets
Everybody wants a box of chocolates
And a long stem rose
Everybody knows

Re: PRE-SALE FOR NON-ISRAELI MEMBERS TO TEL AVIV
Why not limit the sale to old members of the forum (more than one week, more than one month, more than one year, or something else), to avoid from flooding of the lines with people just logging to this forum only for the tickets, and still allowe Israeli members of the forum to buy tickets.
Just a thought.

Re: PRE-SALE FOR NON-ISRAELI MEMBERS TO TEL AVIV
What about someone currently located in Israel with foreign passport number and foreign credit card? will they mail it to a local address?

Will there be a limit to how many tickets may be purchased per fan club member?

Hope someone will do something with it....
Still, i'm not too optimistic. After all, I guess all the people involved are kind of tired from the Israeli bussiness (esp. considering the fact that it's a charity concert, and the troubles here have kept them busy for too long, way too long).

Re: PRE-SALE FOR NON-ISRAELI MEMBERS TO TEL AVIV
I admit it, I registered to this forum just today in order to be able to get tickets in the pre-sale. I guess many others did the same and the restriction for Israeli members came out due to this fact. The main reason for that is that we have to wait so long to get information about the tickets and the concert.

More info received from the organizers:
- the tickets will be mailed only to addresses outside Israel (this was already clear, right!)
- the seating plan will be posted on some local website when the public sale begins, not before
- the best seats at our pre-sale will be in row 14 (in the most expensive category). This means that rows 1 to 13 are not available for members.
