Emoticons

Post by Helven »

Dear Jarkko,

May I use in my postings additional emoticons? - For example, something like this one:

 Helven ~ With the variety and range of ones readily available to us, I'm sure Jarkko won't say no to your most clever one  . He may try to figure a way to add it to the selection here, though  .

Hi Lizzy, :D

Just now I've found a site with hundreds of them! I could put here a link but it is a Russian site in Russian only :( But such emoticons one can get right from there and add to the posting.

Love, :D

Hi Tanya Helven ~

Maybe permission is in order then. I don't know all the possible ramifications of it. Maybe none. But just to be safe. At least the emoticons are universal  ? And, who ever said that Russians don't have a sense of humour   !?! Smashing those stereotypes one at a time :D 8) .

All those emoticons are absolutely free. :D They did that site for everyone! - just in order that everyone can use them in various forums, etc. And language is the one and only problem. And pictures... yes, they are universal  (At least, ones with no Russians inscriptions  )

Love,
TH

They're busy little guys, aren't they :D ? I wanna learn that dance  . Yes, facial expressions ~ and body language ~ more universalities than differences. Hope we get a resounding "Sure!" from Jarkko 8) . I'm wondering if [like a site where I was able to pick and choose from a slew of emoticons] a slew of Spam comes along with them :? . That would be the only glitch that I could see. Oh, I don't know. Not computeristic, meself  . Waiting on Jarkko.............

Love,
Lizzy

Well, don't have the knack of it yet  ! Tried "copy"ing it, but then once over here, there was no "paste" option. Then tried dragging it, and it ended up at the upper-left of an empty page, and my "Post a reply" page completely disappeared. Back to the drawing board  .

Hey Helven~ 8)

That site is a real blast! I love the rock muso with his guitar; but my absolute favourite is the angry-smiley lancer on his crapping horse!

I’ll describe what you should do with them.

At the first page there are names of sections. Their translations are:

EMOTIONS
ACTIONS
CELEBRATIONS
PAIRS
LOVE
MUSIC
ARMS
ZODIAC
ANIMALS
ITEMS
FLOWERS
DIFFERENT
FACES
FIGURES

To the right of each name there are only examples of emoticons. In order to move to emoticons themselves you should click on the red arrows in the right part of the page, or on the numerals under examples. (Numerals signify ordinals of the emoticons that places at the same page).
Each section opens in a new window and different pages of the same section open in the window of this section. In order to move from one page to another you should click on the numerals.

And – the most interesting! – how to copy them:
press <Ctrl> and click on the chosen picture (with the left button of your mouse) - simultaneously;
then return to your posting, put the cursor there and press <Ctrl + V> (simultaneously, too) [common Windows combination for insertion].

And that’s all!

(In order to copy html-code you should choose <Alt + left click>)

Good luck!
Helven
