Rimsø located 8 km northwest of Grenå.
I live in Denmark's oldest vicarage from 1593,
it is very idyllic.
I sometimes sit up at night
and hope that a ghost appears

Not because I believe in the kind
but a concrete lifebuoy
from the paranormal world
would be interesting
It does not need wings

There is a wagtail which flies daily against my window.
I think he is a shadow soul
with something to say about the gate to the eternal

Many believe it requires despair
to go through it,
but I believe
it takes courage of metaphysical dimensions.
My little friend the wagtail will kill himself himself someday,
if he keeps doing what he does

I have come to love him
Perhaps because he is as much a
sad heartthrob
as a beech in full leaf

Yesterday I parked my car on the outskirts of
Sostrup forest
and went deep into the middle.
Here I saw myself
- In the mirror of a forest lake -
embracing a young beech
filled with crows,

the kind that brings tears
back and the blood boiling
Perhaps we'll meet later this year
as long as there is sand, there is hope!
