and again local promoters don't wait for AEG to announce things. according to promoters Doctor Music, Leonard Cohen will be doing an extensive tour of Spain in August and September:

August 13 Vigo, Auditorio del Parque Castrelos
August 15 Calella de Palafrugell (Girona), Festival Jardins de Cap Roig
September 12 Madrid, Palacio de los Deportes
September 13 Granada, Coliseo Ciudad de Atarfe
September 17 Bilbao, Bilbao Exhibition Center
September 21 Barcelona, Palau Sant Jordi

Leonard Cohen will perform in August and September in Girona in Barcelona

The Canadian musician reappeared on the scene last year after no more than fifteen

Madrid. (EFE) .- Leonard Cohen, who last year returned to the stage after fifteen years without a concert, this will be a summer tour that includes performances in Spain Girona, in August, and in Barcelona in September, announced the Doctor Music promoter.
The Canadian musician act on August 15 in Girona, at the Festival Jardins de Cap Roig, and September 21 will in Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona.

The Spanish of Leonard Cohen tour includes performances at the Parque de Vigo Castrelos (August 13) in the Palacio de Deportes Madrid (September 12) in the Coliseum of Atarfe Granada (September 13) and Bec in to Bilbao (September 17).

2008 was a great year for Leonard Cohen with a trip around the world, with concerts in three hours, running out and getting standing ovations entries in a film that sums up the album and recently released Sony DVD, 'Live In London', engraved Arena in London.

Topics like 'Suzanne' to 'Dance me to the end of love', from 'Hallelujah' or 'First we take Manhattan "because of its classical repertoire, will play this summer in Spain.

Madrid. (EFE).- Leonard Cohen, que el pasado año volvió a los escenarios tras quince años sin ofrecer un concierto, hará este verano una gira por España que incluye actuaciones en Girona, en agosto, y en Barcelona, en septiembre, ha anunciado la promotora Doctor Music.

El músico canadiense actuará el día 15 de agosto en Girona, en el marco del Festival Jardins de Cap Roig, y el 21 de septiembre lo hará en el Palau Sant Jordi de Barcelona.

La gira española de Leonard Cohen incluye además actuaciones en el Parque Castrelos de Vigo (13 de agosto), en el Palacio de Deportes de la Comunidad de Madrid (12 de septiembre), en el Coliseo de Atarfe de Granada (13 de septiembre) y en el Bec de Bilbao (17 de septiembre).

El 2008 fue un gran año para Leonard Cohen con un viaje por todo el mundo, con conciertos de tres horas, agotando entradas y recibiendo grandes ovaciones en un periplo que resume el disco y DVD recientemente publicado por Sony, 'Live In London', grabado en el Arena de Londres.

Oh Jarkko, please let there be pre-sales for the Barcelona and specially the Girona (Cap Roig) show: it is a pretty, cozy and small open venue.

Last year I was so disappointed by the absence of Spain in the tour - the mini-concert at FIB excluded.

Leonard Cohen to spend the summer on tour in Spain

Six dates have been confirmed so far, but more are expected

Leonard Cohen is to spend the summer on tour in Spain, with dates confirmed in Vigo, Gerona, Madrid, Granada, Bilbao and Barcelona. Additional towns are expected to be added to the tour which starts in Vigo on August 13 and so far continues to the Barcelona date on September 21.

Ticket prices have not yet been set and it’s understood that ticket will be sold online for the larger venues at http://www.ticktackticket.com and http://www.ticketmaster.es shortly.

Leonard Cohen is considered one of the most important singer/songwriters of our time, and last year saw him touring round the world with a three hour show which was critically acclaimed.

His latest disc ‘Live in London’ released this week, gives an idea of his live performance.
