I'm over on StubHub.com..
When you select the date and venue for a show, there is a map of the venue on the right side of the screen. I chose The Fox in Detroit which will be my only show.
The sections are multi colored, and I noticed just now that Section 4 of the pit is white. It wasn't a couple days ago.
So I clicked on the seats for that section. An icon didn't pop up over it but it did on the section over.
It seems that white means the section is sold out. So far 7 sections are white out of 34.
Now I don't know if it means "sold out" just for StubHub offered seats, Ticketmaster, or both.
As of yesterday, TM.com showed me Row 2 now up for sale for Section 3 of the pit.
Thought all of this was interesting and you can follow along for your cities this way as well.
Well! This is interesting!
Re: Well! This is interesting!
That's odd. Most of the other venues don't seem to allow this option I'm seeing for The Fox.
Most of the other maps are not nearly as detailed and they won't let you highlight the sections.

Hi Walsh,
When I bought my ticket for Phoenix it was being offered by Live Nation. This wasn't a presale. I was presented with a seat chart (much like an airline) showing only the seats still open and then I could select my own seat. So, I was assuming all the blocked ones were sold out. Perhaps that's similar.
All the best,
Diana
ps...May 9th...yea!

My sense has always been [and it may not be so, at all] that when you purchase from a particular vendor, their charts indicate where they stand with regard to the tickets they hold and have available for selling to you.
