Should we arrange a pre- or post-concert meet up? I'm coming down from Milwaukee so a pre might be better. Perhaps someone could suggest a good spot close to the theater?

I like the idea ---
Re: Chicago
Perhaps Monk's Pub(205 W. Lake St.)? Maybe Jikan could join us? An alternative is Miller's Pub(134 S. Wabash). Both are an easy walk from the Chicago Theatre.
Re: Chicago
Do you know why Ticketmaster isn't listing a pre-sale date/time for the Chicago show?
Re: Chicago
I called ticketmaster twice and their representatives claim to have no knowledge of the Chicago pre-sale. I wouldn't worry, at least not yet. I think Jarkko stated somewhere in the forum that ticketmaster was still adding shows to its list. What I don't understand is how ticketinventory.com has Chicago tickets for sale(some approaching $1500). I am a consumer protection attorney and this kind of activity riles me. Regardless, I still would like to thank Jarkko and Leonard Cohen's staff for giving the fans a decent chance at some reasonably priced tickets.
Re: Chicago
My wife, Anne & I are hoping to make the Chicago show and would love to do a meet-up. Although we were recently in Chicago, I'll leave it to you folks to pick the place as my knowledge of the area isn't very good.

Ah! Presale is up for tomorrow. Thanks, Jarkko!

Me too, went smoothy, but I was hyper-poised for the kill. Thanks Jarkko!! Chicago Theater will be a great place to see him.

I've got Leonard tickets, wife and I are very excited.
Thanks to the pre-sale it was very easy.
I want to thank everyone involved who made this possible.
I am now on the brink of realizing another dream.

Wife & I got Chicago tickets --
Was on right at the stroke of 10
I gambled & tossed back the 1st two choices I was offered - 1st one was 3/4 of the way back on the floor -- 2nd was in the balcony --- yup -- I'm sweating bb's now
3rd choice -- center section right on the aisle 14th row!
YeeHaa
My wife & I courted to Leonard 37 years ago -- we still listen to him 3 to 4 times a week when we go to bed.
He still gets me laid!
I think you can say he's been pretty important in our lives.

Good for you Brick in the Wall!
Had the same experience 2 days ago with Ticketmaster - all over the place. For Columbia the best (fantastic) seats became available to me 40 minutes after the tickets went on, for Grand Prairie 25 minutes later
. The whole thing gets you in that 'heart attack city' mode - always afraid you're giving up a better seat.
LC music is great for us also
!
Best regards,
Mary

I tested out how TM was going to do this thing by going to the Columbia sale site after I thought the rush would be over -- I learned from it.
On my 3rd try I was offered seats in the 3rd row - at least an hour after the tickets went on sale ---
I tossed them back but I almost had to tell the wife we were going east.

Re: Chicago
So what this seems to tell us, with Ticketmaster, patience is a virtue. Still that fear of giving up better seats

Re: Chicago
I got tickets for Chicago also...but I guess I made a mistake by taking the first seats I got, which are on the floor but 2/3 of the way back and kind of on the side. I had to sneak out of a meeting at work to get the tickets and so was scrambling and was terrified I'd not get any at all if I threw them back. Still, no complaints! I'm going to a Leonard Cohen show! I've been waiting too long to get hung up on the details.
I'd be interested in any meet-ups...my wife and I will be there!
