Passing

Everything I know
Becomes everything I don't.
Up all day, out all night
I don't want to sleep
But don't want to see the sun rise
For then now becomes tomorrow.
Today becomes yesterday
And I'm not ready to let go.

Laying in bed, I stare at the ceiling
Look to the left, to the North Shore
Beyond the mountains I see a light
I see the sun rise
I am supposed to feel alive
Experience has opened my eyes

I like the new way I see
There is a light shining above me
The night has passed me by
A feeling has caught me by suprise
My feet leave the ground, I become one
I take my first breath in Heaven.
