Stinger Recipe?

Post by conlon »

I remember reading an interview w/ L.C. years back about the sessions for THE FUTURE where he said he & the band would get loose on some sort of alcoholic punch before covering "Always" at the end of every night.
I think he called it "The Stinger" and gave his own recipe for it.
Anyone remember the ingredients/proportions?

Hi Conlon,

I guess you're referring to the Red Needle:

Thanks you kindly, sir...
I thought it was a bit more complicated of a recipe, but it does look fairly effective!

There's an article, written in 2004 (definitely by a Cohenite, although the one who's briefly forgotten the exact date of LC's birth - I guess, under the influence of the subject): The Red Needle: The Drink that Leonard Cohen Made

The website is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition, a project founded by Douglas Adams himself.
