Thank you, Leonard and Jarkko, for the lovely picture of horses taking shelter from the storm.
And thank you for a wonderful year, which, for me, has been filled with Leonard Cohen's words, music and images.
The year began for me with a fabulous Feast of Cohen on December 30, followed in March by the announcement of the tour, and the nocturnal ticket lineup in the snow, then in May by his gracious visit to my town and the quintessential concert that is still reverberating through us all...In July, I sat in the Parc du Portugal watching children, mothers, and old men seeking shelter from the hot summer sun in the gazebo, so the winter gazebo image reminds me that the seasons have come full circle and, in 5 days, we will be back at Holy Heart (still standing!) for this year's Feast of Cohen.
Like horses finding shelter from the snow,
May you all find joy in this season of light, music and new beginnings!
Happy Hanukkah, Merry Merries, agus Bliadhna Bha Ur! ("Happy New Year" in Gaelic).
All good things and Love always,
Annie
"You let me sing, you lifted me up, you gave my soul a beam to travel on. ... You gave the injury a tongue to heal itself."
Leonard Cohen in Book of Mercy (1984) Ch. 19.
Happy Christmas Leonard, Jarkko and all on the forum. Hope you all have a happy and peaceful New Year!
Eric.

What an amazing picture. I have a few photos of that gazebo in my scrapbook. Victoria is covered in snow, too. It is the first time since 1971 that all of Canada has been blanketed by winter in its finest glory -- white. So, much to my chagrin, we have a white Christmas. I have suffered through many white Christmases, but I know that there are many here that are just loving it, especially the children.
It's so nice to hear from Leonard! Great news about Hallelujah! Hallelujah is what I say!
Happy Christmas Leonard, thank you for such a wonderful '08, so many special memories!
Best wishes to Jarkko and everyone on the Forum, already looking forward to the year ahead.
