Lizzy, You weren't there in Corfu

Post by Ben Kelly »

Lizzy, You weren’t there in Corfu

Lizzy, You weren’t there in Corfu
To see George at Sunny Pool
He had on so much sun tan oil and block
He was more waterproof than his watch

Lizzy you weren’t there in Corfu
The temperature that week averaged 450C
George swam, dived and splashed with the kids
And in the Kassiopi Star eat calimari and squid

Lizzy Lizzy, it was so completely perverse
With all these bikini girls, we just discussed the Universe
Then George put Einstein and me into poetic verse
Lizz Lizzy, we the only two pure men on Planet Earth

Lizzy, you weren’t there in Corfu
When at 1.00am he received that sour communication
His connection had left last night at 23.30pm
How to get home, Olympic Tour means you run Home?

And Lizzy, you’re not even here to phone
How did George and I managed to get back home?
Now each writing a different version of ‘Ode to a Toad’
Or ‘A musical Ode to for a Dancing Toad’

Lizzy you weren’t there in Corfu
But George and I discussed both poetry and You
I’m still dreaming of Kelly’s Kassiopi Kastles
Sending a poetic postcard from the Galactic Pixie’s Travels.

Hi Ben Kelly ~

I don't know if I'm the Lizzy in question, as there are many places I haven't been that I wasn't intended to be. However, I like your poem, regardless, and love the lilt of the phrase. Are you the one rewriting the formula? Seeing the "Physics and Maths," and "Galactic Pixie," I'm guessing you must be. Wonderful for him to bring you [to] here! Welcome :D ! So true, on your signature.

Georges ~ Did you get stranded on Corfu  ? Next time, give me a call  . Our mothers here always told us to keep a [hidden] dime for cases such as this.

Ben, that was a wonderful piece of poetry that encapulates our meeting on the great greek isle.
It sums up our brief encounter and my love for Kalamari!!!
Poor Liz does not know that she is famous and was entered into complex mathematical discussions on Time, the Universe and Time travel.
All this under the shade of Kelly's Kassopi Kastle. What more could a mortal want?

I am a right bad ass, dankish prince and I love my Violet to bits.

Lizzy

You've guessed and seen through my little ploy

This is a device I employ alot to bring in an innocent third party into a particular situation. Since the third party is new to the scene they will usually listen and ask all the right questions. It is often extremely amusing to watch their reactions to my premeditated wit. But in reality I set the scene to play my own clown.

As someone once said '' Your jokes aren't funny but you are a funny man ''

Be assured it is all harmless fun.

Ben
