The edge of Time

Post by George.Wright »

I was standing on the dark definite edge of time
a place so bleak that i could not get words to rhyme
and wondered why we have this emptiness
when the rest of the Universe has purpose and is in bliss
and realised that contrasts are the best way to show
the beauty in everything and to realise it is to know
the edge of time has no pulse or heart
which vibrates and motivates everything that God did start
the edge of time is like an eternal desk
showing clearly the edge and allowing the motivator to concentrate on the top and the rest
the edge of time is like a chasm in the sea
dark forbodding and goes on to eternity
if time has a reason and the reason is time
let it continue to beat in this heart of mine
Love to the Board.............Georges

Because both time and space have long fascinated/intrigued/sometimes scared me, I like the edge of time being in a physical-edge concept. I also like your efforts to understand it, and your interesting desk analogy. I, further, like your last two lines.

George, I like your signature. I am new here. Although I believe we are more than human for we have a soul. The soul sings out all these beautiful and sad poems that transcend our humanity.

And G-d created the universe and time.
Time only exisits for those who have the time to realise that they are but stardust in the universe He created.

I think this is as heavy as I want to get on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

However;

Sunday is a holy day.
Friday is a holy day.
Saturday is a holy day.

How we see our creator dictates which day we call holy.

No faith has the monopoly on the universe, time, holy days.

My carbon molecules have as valid a reason to exist in His universe as yours. Whoever you are, and whatever your beliefs are.

We are all created, watered, fed, and breath in a universe which no-one can explain, but which gives us life and the ability to disagree with everything I have just written.

Byron 'sends his regards.'

By the way, I know my signature can seem flippant, but some of you have already responded to it, in the vein in which it was meant. Thank you. You know who you are.

My signature has been acknowledging these basic truths of existence and time for some weeks now.

George has hit us between the eyes once again with another bolt of imagery and for that I thank you once more George.

Byron, never fear, I believe in the same deity. He breathed life in us which I call a soul. The soul cries out to Him. I feel poets have learned a way through words to utter those cries of joy and sadness. But our bodies are just that, dust. What is left is His breath in us.

Peace.
