be the one

Post by Pete »

be the one
be the one
be the one
who accepts the appraise
who milks the applause
who basks in the limelight
who takes to the floor
who gives in return
the favours
the praise
of one who ventures
from out of the maze
be the one
be the one
be the one
who enlightens the blur
who directs all who hear
who creates a diversion
from the sweet smell of fear
who stands at the edge
who watches the light
increasing in brightness
awakening the sight
be the one
be the one
be the one

Oh, thank you, Pete! It's as beautiful as it sounded to be! What a plea, what an imploring for love. The one we all need ~ just one.

Elizabeth

I hope it sounds better now that you can see the words :)

I think I may use the song title for a title for the whole collection of songs.

Just in case some know not what I am talking about.... I have mentioned here before about an ambition of mine to record songs onto cd and to try and do it all before I'm 50... mainly for my own personal satisfaction and to also share with those who care :)
I have already shared some songs as an interim and am now on the last lap to getting the whole lot done properly to give as Xmas presents to my friends (and enemies  )
Obviously they are Cohen songs, except for this one which is my own... nothing professional..just me and a guitar, a cheap 4 track recording unit and many years of practising in an empty room.. I soon got used to it. :)

The other songs are;
Minute Prologue
One of us cannot be wrong
Winter Lady
Chelsea Hotel
Tonight will be fine
Joan of Arc
Who by fire
You know who I am
Waiting for the Miracle
A singer must die

I may do an instumental medley of Suzanne, Hey Thats no way to say goodbye, Bird on a wire and Sisters of mercy.

Apologies if I have listed the songs before...the list has actually changed over the months.
I'm sticking with this combination.

By the way, 'Be the One' can be anything you want :)

regards
Pete
