Heckman, thanks for the credits though it was not much of an effort for me. Great site you have.

Lonndubh - of course I had Dr. Hook's song on my mind with this title. I've always loved that song.

The article is in the September issue of German Rolling Stone. Since I have subscription to the mag I expect it in my mailbox this week. I will let you know how many pages are about Leonard.

The German Rolling Stone is available since 1995, two years before Lady Di died. I missed only the first five copies. Neil Young holds the record of cover appearances followed by the expert in mumbling.

Nothing new under the moon:

This "Rolling Stone interview" is just a German translation of the interview published months ago in a Canadian magazine (I think it was MacLeans..)....So if you already know that interview, there's no need to buy this Rolling Stone issue!!

2008:Lyon July 9th, Lörrach July 25th, Zurich October 25th;
2009: Nimes August 20th;
2010: Basel September 8th;
2012: Verona September 24th;
2013: Montreux July 4th

I didn't know you were such a fan of the British royal family.
I always had you down as a good German republican with socialist leanings.
Surely if you want to identify the year 1995 it is far more acceptable to point out that it was the year Bob Dylan released "MTV Unplugged" or the year he sang "Restless Farewell" for a televised Frank Sinatra birthday tribute.
Perhaps the master's greatest live performance ever.

Or even better it was in September of that year the Liverpool dockers started their two and half year strike.
But the well-timed murder of Lady Di?

Also, Jürgen Klinsmann became "Professional Footballers' Association player of the year" in England in 1995! :)
I'll go and buy the "Rolling Stone" right away, thanks for the hint, Henning!

For those who read French, I just realized Leonard appears on the cover of Rolling Stone of Sep 2008(French edition). There's no interview but a sort of update on Leonard's recent activities.

I added the cover to the previous message (sent in by Dominique Boile). Here is another recent French magazine cover
