I do not feel the need to inflict my superior musical taste on others.
It is not something to be evangelised.
The Master must be a personal discovery.
Let the unwashed masses wallow in their ignorance.

This is one opinion...And I'll try to accept it.. Maybe you are right.
But I'm just not strong enough to keep good things only to myself.
When I find something marvellous I like to share it with others

I continue to try, Greta. I know it's worth the effort, but I sure seem to be living in the wrong part of the country for it. Reactions vary, and no one has really "seized the day" with Leonard. I've heard that there are what's known as "soul clusters" in the reincarnation sense, and per that concept, we may [those of us who truly love Leonard's words and music] all be part of a soul cluster from another time. It's always such a mystery to me how someone can hear him and not be awed. The most recent one, with whom I tried, was my supervisor and her comment was "He's 'draggier' than I'm used to." This was after I had suggested she pay attention to the lyrics in particular. She listened [presumably] to the entire "Essential" and that's all it came down to.....tempo!?! Well, at least I still have my job  ~ though three more [non-Leonard fans, given their own taste in music] just got laid off.

I say keep trying, magneticcry. It's worked as an acid test of sorts for compatibility with me. Maybe not 100% reliable; yet, if someone will criticize what I love, then they don't need to be around me. When someone finally does connect with Leonard's music, as you have, it's worth all those who haven't.

Jurica ~ Now, there's an emoticon that emotes!

I guess that this "soul cluster" theory can explain why there are people from all over the world and from all age groups that love his music and also all kinds of different people who don't...

It's what has made the most sense to me, Greta and magneticcry. If you believe in reincarnation [and I do], you understand that there are different lessons to be learned and that the form you take won't necessarily bear any similarities to "from whence you came" ~ however, there can still be residuals or remembrances and loves that make it through. This "soul cluster" theory would, in my mind, include Leonard's having been a part of ours, as well. The diversity of people who like/love him [and as you say, worldwide], and those many who seem to not, make the most sense to me when viewed in this way.

I believe in the idea of reincarnation very much. Oh I have quite many ideas about it but i guess this isn't the right topic nor the forum to discuss it.
But... do you also believe in alternative medcine?

I believe in reincarnation. But I also have this weird theory that we could all be dead already and this is either our own personal heaven or hell. There are too many people in the world for everybody to have been reincarnated therefore some must be new souls.

Greta I personally think this forum should be used for discussion of anything provided it does not offend. There are people on other topics discussing Jesus etc. I am an agnostic but as long as people down force their opinions on me it all makes for good discussion

Hi Greta ~ I believe that what has become called alternative medicine is the original, true medicine ~ and that, in many ways, we've lost our way with modern medicine. That is not to discount the tremendous strides of surgical procedures, et al.....but the spiritual mind-body connection, and the spiritual basis of healing, the herbs, the homeopathic remedies, the Ayurvedic methods, etc. have been so marginalized in terms of their inherent, high value that many people have suffered unnecessarily. I believe very much in "alternative" medicine.

With Paula's comment regarding new souls, I also believe that there are new souls and old souls. Leonard is very clearly the latter. At what point, on his continuum, we joined him, I guess might be one indication of our own newness or oldness. Where the new souls come from, who knows? From the same source as the old ones.

Most of the "alternative" medicine is clearly the forgotten old...
healing with herbs and with rituals....I guess it has always co-existed with the modern medicine but a little bit hidden because of christian additude towards "witches".

How about the idea that one can heal himself by thinking right?
There was a a woman in estonia who wrote books on how one can heal oneself by thinking right. According to her theory diseases come from our bad thoughts and diseases are our body's way in informing us that we are not living right... Our diseases are our hatred and fears

Greta I really do not agree with that theory about diseases coming from bad thoughts. That would not explain children or other innocent souls having diseases or disabilities. And people like Hitler and Saddam would by virture of their thoughts be riddled with disease.

I think postive thinking can certainly aid recovery and negative thinking can speed up the process of illness.

Lizzie I also think people like Leonard are "old souls" and I think there is a due process to reincarnation and you are reincarnated until you are at your optimum level and then you pass over.

I'm don't know much about this theory.. I just bwanted to know your thoughts....
why children have illnesses? according to the theory children's diseases come from the thougts of their parents...but Saddam and Hitler I cannot explain. But they'll certainly have karma depts in their future lives...
maybe the sources of some illnesses come from past lives...
