a boundage of foray,,,
A bewhiskered man with allusive look in his eyes,
a man so typical, but yet seemed so distinct...
he was glacial as wintergale and hot as a geyser,
yet he was nothing but an innoccuous snake...
He tried to dazzle me with his elaborate civility...
decoy me with his delusive words,,,
he managed to eclipse his grievous duplicity
and i became desirous of his depraved thoughts....
I was devoted to his diabolical dreams,
but felt abased by his bantering smile,,,
i was baffled by his avid-blazing look,
in the clutches of his zephyr-soft desires...
I couldn`t see through his brittle hypocrisy,
he couldn`t burnish my hamfisted moves,
his words were caustic to my vitrified chastity
and my bone-dty lips began to crave for his touch...
He tried to cajole me,but i wasn`t that credulous,
the intimation was clear, but i was just too afraid,,,
his inmost thoughts seemed detainingly ravenous,
his love was a boundage of embellished foray......

I was welcoming Magneticcry - I think he is our first member in Estonia, and in fact I have received only one email from the country since the site
was launched in 1995. You know, Finnish and Estonian languages are very closely related, and we can follow what is said or written in the other language although not necessarily in detail. Older Estonians usually understand Finnish very well, because they were watching Finnish TV channels during the USSR occupation, but now there are many local channels in Estonia and therefore no need to watch foreign channels.
It takes just two hours or so to go from Helsinki (Finland) to Tallinn (Estonia) using the fast boats.
By the way, Magneticcry, do you know any cover versions of Leonard's songs performed by Estonian artists? The only I know (and have) is "Vota vastu see valss" on "Kutse Tantsule # 4" by Vello Orumets. (Estonian versions of "Take this waltz")

Well, I can stop looking
, magneticcry, and so can you
!
Thanks, Jarkko, for that interesting explanation. I can see why you stepped out there with your greeting! That's a long while to not have heard from Estonia! Looks like Greta shoulda been included in the greeting, of course, since she joined July 1st. I'm thinking you may have been gone when that happened, though.
The waltz and the dance seem to hold great appeal, I've noticed, with some of those countries where Leonard is not covered much. I somehow "knew" that those words were going to mean "Take This Waltz" before you got to the English with it.

Dear Greta, in my earlier message in this thread I mistakenly said that
magneticcry is our first member in Estonia - but you have, just like Lizzytysh suggested, joined three weeks before her! I thought Greta is from UK - I've got many emails from (another) Greta in Birmingham!
Belated welcome to Greta in Estonia, great to have here more Cohenites from our Southern neighbour!
If you find any info about Vello's "Dance me.." cover, please let me know.
I'd also like to get the song for my archive, please email me if you can help in this.
