Sylvie Marechal 'It Just Feels' (Written by LC)

Post by Jim Williams »

Thanks to YouTube, I've managed to get in touch with Sylvie Marechal, who, in 1992, recorded one of the few Cohen-penned songs he didn't record himself: It Just Feels (http://www.leonardcohenfiles.com/forothers.html#5). Since then, another YouTube user, and fan of Marechal, is sending said track to me as an e-mail attachment.

Sorry if this is covering old ground.

I'm not sure if I like it or not.The lady has a good voice, but she screams a bit too much for me it drowns the lyrics;maybe I need to listen to it a bit more.

No, it's nothing special. Her other stuff is fabulous, though. I love this:

Yep,I much prefer that one.Really atmospheric, quite spooky it gets your imagination going.Should listen to that on the stereo system with the curtains drawn, lights off and a good bottle of red!
