Poems On Love, Life, Hope, Dreams...

Post by EktaKKalra »

Hey,
I often write poems. I have composed more than 2000 poems till date. Please read some of my poems:

I wish to write
The words of my heart,
The cause of its beats
The delicacy of thoughts.

* * * * *
A million reasons
Still to know,
The beats of heart
The sound that flows.

* * * * *
I lit a candle in solitude
With it I lit my dreams,
True, I saw a miracle real
My childhood smiling at my youth.

* * * * *
As drops in river
So do desires in mind,
Rise and succeed
On the command of time.

* * * * *
In the sweat with time
In the pain, Divine
We remember you
To forget life.

* * * * *
Never mind the heat of sun
Joys will come.

* * * * *
Tears wipe pain from my face
Not strength from my heart.

* * * * *
Tears are tiny drops of pain
In the ocean of ever flowing joys.

* * * * *
To the temple she goes with tears in
eyes,
From the temple she comes with
smiling pride.

* * * * *
Faith never cries
It's doubt that sheds tears.

* * * * *
In the magnitude of what exists
There is nothing in infinity
And infinity in nothing.

* * * * *
Near the fruity tree lies his grave,
He who died for a loaf of bread.

* * * * *

wow, 2000 that's great. How many are you aiming for in total? I am not sure if you are winning the race as I think I heard another woman has written 2137!

btw was your post just one epic piece or was it 12 poems! That can really make a difference to your running total but the competition rules are probably strict.

YOUR POEM (OR, YOUR 12 POEMS)

I wish to write
The words of my heart,
The cause of its beats
The delicacy of thoughts.

* * * * *
A million reasons
Still to know,
The beats of heart
The sound that flows.

In the pain, Divine
We remember you
To forget life.

* * * * *
Never mind the heat of sun
Joys will come.

* * * * *
Tears wipe pain from my face
Not strength from my heart.

* * * * *
Tears are tiny drops of pain
In the ocean of ever flowing joys.

* * * * *
To the temple she goes with tears in

From the temple she comes with
smiling pride.

* * * * *

It's doubt that sheds tears.

* * * * *
In the magnitude of what exists
There is nothing in infinity
And infinity in nothing.

* * * * *
Near the fruity tree lies his grave,
He who died for a loaf of bread.

* * * * *

btw I love the last poem. The poor guy spends all his life desperate for a loaf of bread and then he gets buried next to a "fruity tree"!!!! Irony or what!!

May I ask a question, how many of your poems mention ironing? If you haven't yet dealt with the topic I reckon you could get at least 15 poems on the subject and that could lift you into 3rd or even 2nd place, GOOD LUCK

EktaKKalra composed:
>Near the fruity tree lies his grave,
>He who died for a loaf of bread.

If he had died for fruit would they have buried him next to a bakery?

Dear Geoffrey, you may be confusing the expression "dying for" (something, whatever) with the poet's use of "died for". When I first read the piece I took it to mean he was ordered by different fruit to die, perhaps even commit suicide.

Banana- "kill yourself you useless harlot"
Pear "yes, go on, NOW"
Apple "no-one will miss you, anyway- you're rubbish"
Red Plum "you can do it near the fruity tree if you want"
Tomato** pulls out gun and shoots, "die, Harlot, die"

Some scholars and gardeners argue that a tomato is a vegetable. I would be most interested in your view

It was an Arab who stole three times. If you dig up the body you will see that it has no hands or head. Down there folks have their thieving little hands chopped off for shoplifting twice, and if they can somehow manage it a third time it's: "Good morning, Jesus!"

you raise an interesting point about "just punishment" which of course Leonard addressed in one of his songs

"some women wait for Jesus
and some women wait for the cane"

the writer there distinguishing the degrees of society's retribution, death or a few whacks on the bottom. But it's not all gloom and doom religious stuff as Leonard goes on to explain the rewards for those who observe the Lord's teachings

"and we eat our pleasant beigels
that are bound in blood and skin"

and the vision of that Holy Repast is surely enough to deter any who hath baddeth thoughts and to encourage them back to the foldeth.

I believe you are a Lay Preacher, Geoffrey. Wilt thou pray for me tonight please

Love

Australia and Leonard

Post by natti »

So I want to know when is Leonard coming to Australia? Sounds like a northern hemisphere tour, not a world tour hey? We miss Leonard!

hello Natti, you have posted on the wrong thread! this here thread is to praise Ekta for writing over 2000 poems!!!

however, I can bring you up to date with Leonard news. The last that is known about him is that he lives in the mountains with some monkeys. he must be in his mid-80's now so there is no realistic chance that he will ever play again

Hi All,

Thank you so much for reading my 12 poems.

I felt so good reading your messages. God blessed me with your precious time.
Please read one of my poem which was especially liked by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam , The President of India.

War – We hate thee

An age to make him a man
Moments to end his life span
He is shot dead
By another gun in common hand.

Where threat rests on brow
Revenge beats in heart
Love rests alone in holy books
Market reads the bloodshed wars.

Innocence weeps tears
Childhood droops
Adult move as adolescence
No place for right in roof.

A bloom of care
A thought to repair
A dream to change
Makes me write this phrase.

How long shall humanity degrade
Below the burden of wrong
Will no one come ahead again?
To end the existent wars.

Peace, peace each heart cries
With a loaf we survive
A loot of fame, money and claim
Makes no better the climb.

May I, may you, may we all change
Change for peace on land.

Thank you for explaining your process Ekta (btw I used to know your brother Plasm)but I am sure God wouldn't be offended if you politely suggested a poem about ironing and then waited for him to inspire you on the specifics. If he reacts angrily then surely it exposes him as having a Bad Attitude and you could then look for a much nicer God.

Your latest poem really has that WOW factor and it is all about War!!! My favourite line was the "loot of fame" one, I have a loot of time for writing as good as that

Love

[Hi Sue ~ (and thanks for letting me borrow your thread for a moment, Ekta). With the comments having been about line drying clothes vs. tumbler dryers, the NPR commentator closed with, "So, if something you hear on NPR leaves you feeling fluffed or starched, please write to us." I immediately thought of you and wondered how you feel about these occupation-specific frames of reference; and while we're at it, how do you feel about line drying... for the benefit of the clothes, as well as the impact on property values? If there's an appropriate thread to transport this to, to answer, please do. I couldn't locate one and didn't want to chance forgetting it.]

Thanks, Ekta. I can see you have some heartfelt thoughts that I share about the warring.

Thank you so much William. God blessed me with appreciation from you. I know you will pray with me to God to also bless the piss-takers with the best of the wisdom.

Sue, I will suggest God that He should cover the complete surface of earth with the purest of wisdom and innocence. And if He does not agree then I will try to make myself a much nicer Ekta so that my suggestions hit the wall of absolute possibility. If ever I have to suggest something to God I will suggest this. Thank you for the love you expressed for my poem. God bless us all.

Thank you Geoffrey and Lizzy.

Thank you God.

Hi again Etka, I know we are only new friends and these two questions may both be inappropriately personal but may I ask if you believe in God or whether you are an atheist? Secondly, do you spin dry nylons?

good luck with the writing, please share lots and lots more of your poems

love
