Jarkko, that's a great forum !
I understand the melancolic people...
But anyway, the good old forum is still readable as an archive !

Hi Jarkko....

This Message Board is lovely. The greyed-white and the soft, yet alive, blue are very pleasing. Open, soft-white space to write in......it feels good. The options available are not visually intrusive. I don't understand yet how to utilize them all.....tried for an emoticon in my first Post, but it didn't happen. I'll figure it out sooner or later. Meanwhile, the eyes and the mind feel rested here.

Hi Jarkko.....Lively Congratulations to your son, you, and whomever else was involved.....and thank you.

I've already expressed this opinion elsewhere [Sony's V.P. Board] on your newly-revamped Message Board here--however, to include the rest of you on this site, I appreciate this very fresh appearing and feeling site. It's like you virtually brought back and imbued it with the fresh air and sunshine of Hydra. Its gentle skies and water await you in the colours here.....it's like walking into a watercolour painting.

It's symbolic of Leonard himself ~ from the dark into the light and so very beautiful.

Nice forum, good job! :D
I'm everybody and I'm nobody. I'm real and I'm unreal. I'm good and I'm bad. I'm loved and I'm hated. I'm everything and nothing at the same time. There's one thing I am sure of: I AM ME.

Thanks, Jarkko et al, this is much easier on the eyes :D I could never stay around the old board long enough to read all I wanted to before my eyes started complaining.

Great work Arjatsalo family!
Thank you.

Now, if we were able to post a reply to the specific message we want each time and not at the end of the thread, it would be absolutely perfect.

I would like to congratulate you on this excellent forum :)

I think it looks very nice and is quite convenient, though I agree with Dem that it could be improved.

Dem, if we could do that it would be the newsgroup i.e. a complete mess of bnranches and dead ends, with tons of repeated material. i read the ng through google and find it completeley un-userfriendly.

Jarkko,

I was really surprised to see the new site. And now that I am over the shock, I commend you on your choice of software.

One question: Is there no way to indent paragraphs or to center words? Everything seems to justify to the left.

But it's no big deal. You've done a great job!

This is a test to try to activate the option available to me here.
bold;italicsand to underlineor quote
something
. Now I should be using red, but I'm not. Something says [regarding the bold, etc.] to use Control and F1, but that flips me to my own computer's instructions on using it period and nothing to do with italics here. Now an Emoticon : :o : --so I see all the codes are in for this stuff, but when do they appear. I'll try Preview and then Submit and see what occurs at that level. I noticed that when you do the normal double-spacing after a period, that once you submit it, it gets reduced to a single-space. Perhaps for conserving space. OK, here goes.

Lizzytysh [computer semi-literate]
EDIT: OK, it looks like I've got those down, except the color. You click on and then off what you want, I'm just not used to seeing the codes themselves. Let's see what the system does with an attempt to indent. Well, the TAB key doesn't work...it flips me somewhere else. So, with spacing, it may just close the spaces, the same as it does after periods. I'll try
OK, whatcha' gonna do [ghostbusters]? Here goes Submit again.
NOPE....no way to indent. Back to the colours. -- so how do you do the colour, Jarkko? It says Red, but it's not doing Red. Thanks.

It occurs to me that if you need to use colour, bold, italics, underlining and so forth, what is being said was not worth saying. Either that or you are unable to express it clearly. Less is more.
