it may not be immediately clear but I can assure you that the the Judge's particular comments below were directed to the defendant not his counsel

"So rampant are your views, so excitable your temperament, so persuasive your tongue and so imbued with energy are you, it's quite impossible to predict when, if ever, it will be safe for you to be released into the public"

btw I do wonder if there was a play on words somewhere.

Maybe the judge could also have said that to an englishman who was headless

Would you be willing to defend him as well Michael?
Everything being said to you is true; Imagine of what it is true.

I have no doubts that the comments were directed to the defendant. I'm curious though, who was the judge looking at when he made these comments?

Seriously, you must be relieved to have this done and over with - it must have been a very long and challenging case.

How sweet of you to reply to my post, Jack. I am afraid (but not very) that you remain on my banned list and so I do not get to read any of your literatum magnatum. The position will change only when I am served with affidavits from 3 members of the militant wing, swearing that you have made 2 consecutive posts which do not mention your own exceptionally extraordinary uniquey talents, nor some bint who had sex with you within 5 minutes of meeting, (and also none of the posts have a vowel) (or consonant) (or any other keyboard stroke). Once those easy conditions are satisfied I shall consume your every thought with lots of consuming type consumption.

Meanwhile, I shall presume your post here was a really good haiku. Well done!

Hey Cate, thanks. After a long time in prep. he actually pleaded guilty so only a few days in court.

Michael,
Are you not guilty, dear friend, of the sin of which you have accused Jack?
The fact that your travels, your family and your work are brought to our attention on a regular basis makes your accusation against him ring a smidgeon hollow. :?

I took a smidgeon
of cake to the dungeon
my crime, a pigwidgeon
I'd been a curmudgeon
