They come from Cumbria
Wisdom Manjushri's
Morning doves
Of peace
They serenade me still
Now somewhere in Spain
On a hill

These birds they say
“Start again!
Without a plan
You have your orders”

Make some room
For holiness to happen
Moments of holy
Happy Truth

Savor each
And every moment
Like Leonard seems to do
Lichee, Truffle
Chocolate Dark
And Bittersweet too

There is that crack
In every “thing”
The plan-less day
The nameless me
The monk that I
Don't have to be

Each day a canvas
Virgin, clean
Where moments happen
Between you and me
