Back from Safari
Lots of animals looked like they wanted to eat me but I became vegetarian whilst away and perhaps they decided I would not taste good enough, so they left me alone (particularly when I started reciting my poetry).

ok, so then I signed up and became a member but now they say there's no such thing as your link, or I think that's what they're saying. I've seen you just put images here, so why not?

bingo. Yours worked too. Did they bring breakfast to you on teeny tiny surf boards?
Beautiful, Michael. Is that furry guy related to you?

Re: Back from Safari
A family vacation in Africa... how cool! I like the way your foreground daughter is pointing to herself, with that same, characteristic look in her eyes that can be read according to the situation. This one looks like, "Don't you already know I'm the most important one in this photo
?" It looks like when your daughters are fully grown, the three women will make for an ad that asks, "Can you tell the mother from the daughters?"
Great shot of the lion. Was that using a telephoto or was your vehicle that close? I've ALWAYS wanted to go to Africa.

That lion looks stoned. Look like Clarence the cross-eyed lion.
Lovely family pictures the size of those meals you must have been starving when you got home.

You're right, Paula! I hope they don't put downers in their food to keep them docile for viewing. The Stoned-Lion Safari. Or, maybe it was early morning or the afternoon and he was just waking up from a good night's sleep or a nap. Do I recognize this look from in the mirror? 'fraid so
.
At least he looks like you could pet him. Right there on his forehead.
I'd be hard pressed with that serving size, too
. But, then, their and my dress size varies significantly, too. Wonder why.

Your daughter look so much like their Mother and your son like you. What a beautiful family.
It's true the lion looks a little mellow, it also looks like he has some blood on his mouth. I wonder if he just had a snack.

I noticed that, too, Cate and forgot to ask. Thanks. Did you see them being fed, Michael? Or, was this a Safari where it's up to them to catch their own meals?

Re: Back from Safari
the Lions made their own meals though, in my short experience, they never sat round a table with family and a nice glass of wine. We drove within 2 meters of this one, eeeek, scary. Another one we saw had blood all around his neck and our guide realized he had been caught in an impala trap. It was too late at night to rescue him then but the guide set out the next day with a Vet to find and tranquilize the animal.lizzytysh wrote:I noticed that, too, Cate and forgot to ask. Thanks. what was so great about the trip was the variety of animals I saw. here's a great contrast with the King of the Jungle, (and I still can't paste the pic. directly, where are you, Manna?!). Penguins are brilliant, the giraffes were tops and the elephants massive.

Re: Back from Safari
very easy. Below where you type the message, there are two tabs. One says options, the other says upload attachment. If you want to share a picture, you'll need to open the upload attachment tab.
(I edited it to make the pic a bit smaller. If there are scroll bars on the pic you see, you can click on the pic and it will show the whole thing.)
