Dear YdF ~
I wish you wouldn't keep pulling me into realms where I'm not the issue. It makes empathy/sympathy all the more challenging, and causes me to work harder to get there. Even so, I still got there on my own this time.
Even though I could look at these exchanges and exclaim, "Ah! Golden opportunity ~ at last!", the truth is that that's not how I feel, reading these low-key words of yours. I feel sad. That's because I don't want to see you leave ~ duel or no duel, kidding, jibing, challenging, teasing, provoking, or whatever. You're wrong. I wouldn't be forever grateful. That's simply not true, even though you still took another stab at me.
The only thing I'd honestly like to see is for you to treat Leonard with greater respect, even if you don't fully appreciate him; to treat me and other members with greater respect, rather than seizing every seeming opportunity that comes along, with a negative or insulting remark about someone or something in your posting; and to expand your horizons regarding the humourous possibilities that exist with your moniker.
Despite some saying that you are humourless and dull, I can't agree with that. You're somewhat, but not totally, predictable. However, I've found some of the things you've written to be rather funny, even when I've been the topic. Humour is humour. After awhile, it gets old... such as your comments here; but it gets just as old to see others continue in a negative vein toward you, too. It also gets just as old to see your relentless rags on a couple others.
So, do what you will, YdF. It would be great to see you enter a poem into the actual Competition. It would also be great to see you stay, with regard to the above ~ even if only one at a time, beginning with Leonard. If your purpose for being here is to be insulting and all that, then that's a different story; and I don't see how that could be reconcilable. However, I recall a posting awhile back, where Diane noted that you seemed rather sensitive beneath it all, and that your feelings seemed hurt. Your comments gave some creedence to the possibility that she was right. I was, of course, being cavalier in that particular course of exchanges, but after all was said and done, I wondered. This current set of postings is almost dreadfully calm and resolute in a sad way, at least for me.

A new dawning,
a new day,

Do not make me LAUGH, PLEASE
!
It has been many years since I saw that show [I used to work at a re-entry program for Federal offenders, and they ~ am I surprized? ~ loved it]. I detested it, but I can confirm that either you stay glued to it; you have an excellent, detailed memory; or you have some old, taped segments, which you played the beginning of and merely substituted names.
This thread was bound to bring a variety of responses; however, I must say that yours is clearly, and by far, the most creative. Now, how anyone chooses to respond to this, we'll see
... but, helpless laughter aside, I do mean what I said
.
