AMEX presale...... Huge 1/4 page in Sunday NY Times arts section for the Presale. There is no way anyone can miss it if they are awake..

Why the high press?

I was at Radio City last night for David Byrne and forgot how loud it can be and how long the orchestra is..... I asked the Box Office to trade my DB tickets for LC and they were not amused.....

Indeed there are several presales - Amex is on March 2 to 6 for their card holders, ours is on March 7. The tickets have been pre-allocated to all these, so the order of the presales has no effect. However, remembering that our quota of tickets is limited, it might be a good idea for our AMEX card holders first try their luck on March 2... Also remember that tickets at AMEX presale are transferable while ours are not (will call!).

The AMEX presale seemed to go pretty smooth this AM, but very quickly. I was able to get a mid-orchestra seat the moment they went on sale, when I went back by 10:06 the best seats available were third mezzanine.

How did you get AMEX presale? I have been on Amex/tickmaster link for 15 minutes and it doesn't show any listing for Radio City...all the others though...what am I doing wrong? I couldn't get Beacon theater either....

Here's the kicker....I had two machines going....a direct link from the Amex with the ad for the presale, and the direct site on ticketmaster with the promotion....ready and refreshing the machines every second and still couldn't get tickets....this is sooo beyond ridiculous....I have never been able to see him in concert...

Yes, it's a bad system - I've been burnt before, I just happened to be lucky this time. Hope your luck changes with the fan presale later this week!

I was able to get 2 singles in third mezzanine (front and fourth row, centre). I will try to get two together on Saturday and if that works out, will offer these at face value to the forum for whoever is interested. For now though - no complaints...

As the Brits might say, TicketMaster is bullocks!
I had tickets "reserved" at 10:00AM, but when I went to confirm my order, an error occurred. Result? No tickets.
I just spoke with TicketMaster customer service rep - after being on hold for 20 minutes - who stated that all tickets for AmEx presale went on sale at 10AM and sold out at 10:02AM. However, she stated that there are plenty other tickets available. "Whenever they have a presale, all of the best tix don't go on sale. Only some from each section."
Very disappointed, nonetheless. Tried multiple times thereafter and found nothing.
At least I have memories from Beacon show and the subsequent NPR podcast.

Same here as suwalsh, PLUS I was using the phone. No response on either website until the sales rep had just picked up, around 10:10. Website showing no tickets. Me to the sales rep: "I think I'm too late again... but do you have any Leonard Cohen tickets?"

SR: "Yes, we do, how many did you want?"

Me: "Two"

SR: "I'm sorry sir, all we have is scattered availability. We have one at $129 and one at $65."

Me: "OK, I'll take the one at $129."

SR: "I'm sorry, sir, since you requested two, we are locked into that request. I can only sell you both of the tickets."

Me: "OK, OK, I'll take both."

SR: "All right sir, just hold on... just a moment, sir...hold on... I have to release your first request....just a little longer. Now I'm entering your new order.........................I'm sorry sir, there is no longer any availability."

I was trying for tickets.... and the lesser amounts sold quickly... I went in for the 129.00 and kept trying seats.... The 800 number had to be typed in, not pasted and copied..

Back orchestra rows were available and around the sound board..

I had two screens going and I had variety of seats.... I went with the best @ 1027AM for fear of being locked out....... center orchestra Row E....

Radio city is huge, i was there Friday and Rows AAA pit, then AA -ZZ and finally A- Q or so...

it was tough....but i am in

I was just checking the system and did not want to buy tickets. I started at 10:05 with “any price” and “best available sits” options and I got the result: Row O, then I released the ticket and checked VIP (2 tickets) for $689.00 each and the result was: Row BB. After this I checked again “any price” and “best available” (10:15) and nothing was available. I repeated that couple of times and it was the same – no tickets. So I can conclude that the presale for AMEX holders lasted just 15 minutes and for us (Fun Club presale) might be even worth.

I tried for tickets today with the AMEX pre-sale. Beginning at exactly 10 am I was on-line and on the phone; and my friend was also (so four parallel attempts). We failed to get tickets. At about 10:20 I got offered a single ticket in row Q of the highest balcony , but threw it back. There were also available $700/person VIP tickets. Not in my budget.

Not a great morning. I'll try again on the 7th. At least I know that I have two tickets for Philly.
