Lucky for people, I guess, that the wildlife never had rifles when humans encroached on their habitat.

well, wildlife was created before humans, according to the bible. makes me wonder who milked the cows in the early days

It was the monkeys and other apes, of course! How else would they make their lattes? It is rather homo-sapiens-sapiens-centric to think that humans were the first civilised beings (in fact, there are times when I wonder if we are civilised at all?).
