one Leonard morning
one Leonard morning
with your ear-phones humming
I knelt at that delta
of you
from alpha
to omega
we both sang to please ya
and like that bird on a wire
you flew
the snake-look
the cold stare
that alone-ness
wasn't there
just me
and Leonard and you
he teased, I pleased
we scored, you roared
as all swooped
through that delta
of time
we laughed
he sang
our orgasms rang
to some reptilian rhyme
..one Leonard morning
with your ear-phones humming
I knelt at that delta
of you
from alpha to omega
we all came to please ya
and like that bird on a wire
you --------------- ^-- ~~ flew ~~--^

Mat,
I endured a long night, a Richie night. Long time ago, true story. An old turntable did the trick. All night long, truly.

"Endured"? Are you sure? Correct word?
Mat ~ I've no idea what you changed; however, the changes brought it all together. Sensual, evocative, erotic, and clearly pleasurable for you both. Here's to both of you for your great morning. I love your poem, title to final line.

Hi Mat,
A nice rhymer. As only the "L" of Leonard is capitalized, thought of e.e. cummings
and that the content relates homonymously with that poet's name.

A luverly ditty (forgive my choice of words for your piece of work
Reminds me a bit of Neil Young's Pocohantas. (spell checker please!)
That's it. I just wanted my opinion/testimonial to be forever linked with above poem. I can say no more.

Lizzy and Linda,
the poem may be about someone other than you
but it was written
for
Cohenites, like you
It pleases me that you connected with the experience!
I have worked on it a bit since the original draft
and even more since your observant comment Lizzy.
I hope you enjoy the mood of it all.
Steven, your "e.e. cummings" comment has had an impact on the third to last line!
Thanks for the feedback,
Mat.

Mat!
What a nice sentiment. This is def. a copy and paste. Even though it may not be 'for' me, or Lizzy, I'm certain she's just as pleased as I am.
Light as a Breeze has always been at the top of my Cohen songs list - don't know why
Best to you and yours for the holidays. Again, I'm lost for words.
Linda (from the heart), and yes, the mood of it all works very fine for me

Awww... that's so sweet of you to say, Mat. Linda's right, I'm just as pleased as she is by it. I really like it a lot. Old changes, new changes. A lovely Leonard morning.
