Rueben's thread reminds me to mention that we considered open mic for The Green Note, but enquiries with the likely performers gave the impression people would prefer to just pass around the guitar, rather than step up to the mike, and as that seems to work fine in a small venue, that's what we'll do, unless anyone wants to reconsider now we know there is to be 50+ of us...?

Dave,

Thanks very much for the tip on the Travelodge. I have booked my room for the 19th and 20th.

I am really looking forward to seeing so many familiar faces again and to meeting some new Cohenites.

I hope there is still room for me at the Camden Town meetup. :D

I have promised to read Dame Llon's winning comp. poem. and it will be my pleasure. However, it now occurs to me that Diane may do a better Welsh accent to give it both that Llon principality authenticity and the right degree of aristocratic poshosity.

chicken............it's the lingerie isn't it? You're holding out for a full set, not content with just the bra. You know very well that Diane's Welsh accent leaves a lot to be desired. Besides I've booked the video crew. I want to see you perform.

Excuse me, but I have an exquisite welsh accent, as Rob will attest. But I'm afraid I don't recite pomes. We'll get you a mike, mike, and the floor is yours. I know you are rather shy about performing in public, but it'll be OK.

Sherry, the last time I saw you you were reclining on a famous blue inflatable sofa in the rain. Look forward to seeing you again!

Hi Diane,

That day was one to remember (or forget, depending on how much you like rain) because of
Anjani's wonderful performance.

Believe it or not, that blue sofa made it all the way back to Geneva with us.

I'm looking forward to seeing you again (in drier circumstances)!

I have had one of my brainwaves. Why don't we hire a coach to take us to the Barbican from Camden. I know, I know don't thank me for this suggestion.

It won't take long on the tube will it Paula? I reckon you'd easily at least fill a minibus though - maybe you could book one? How much would a coach cost? If it's only a few pounds each, then it's a sound idea.

Hi Diane - I am claustrophobic don't use the tube. But it will be quicker and easier using public transport I would have thought. See you on the 20th.

I will have a car near Camden and a place reserved at the Barbican to park it if you want to skip the claustrophobithingy bit.

I can only claim to be a worrier, and a fan of doing things the easiest way possible.

Think 10-15 pounds per person ought to be able to get us a private coach (bus/minivan) and then we won't all need to crowd into Mickey's car! Althought that has certain appeal too :D

Seriously, we would love it if the group motor transport is a possibility.

Otherwise, am sure we can "mind the gap" and find our way to the theater.

Getting very excited about the trip. Understand from Esther that Leonard and Anjani are now prepping for the Stanford art/conversation/show next week. Hope they do that dinner ($325) as well, but that may be geared to Glass fans.

See ya all soon!!!!
