Cold

Post by Byron »

Cold is the colour of my love’s desire
Hard is the sight from my point of you
Bleak takes my tears without a murmur
Drawn ever further from my view

Screaming in silence in a crowded room
Trapped under fears which comfort me
Dying in life with my contrasts of grey
Envelop my soul to set it free
"Bipolar is a roller-coaster ride without a seat belt. One day you're flying with the fireworks; for the next month you're being scraped off the trolley" I said that.

WoW, Byron ~

I love the existential[?] nature of this poem. I can't even begin to tell you. Your words capture the uncapturable. Wow. I love this poem.

Byron, a good write.

The pain that is not turned away from; is the pain that liberates.

Byron

I like the poem very much. But it's not easy to find out why. Of course I could name some "technical" details, like the use of contradictions, allusions, inversions... Unfortunately this describes only the surface, but the essence goes much deeper...

I am grateful (if I may steal your signature...)

Exactly, tom.d.stiller, though the technicalities are able to accomplish that. Good for you, Byron.
