The line was most likely: Halleluijah, halleluijah :?

Adrian, I see a pattern here, the Australian winner of Idol also sang Hallelujah.

Let's get the word out, all you have to do to win an Idol is sing hallelujah. 8)

Aye, there's truth to that!

As I hear a lot about the song from artist and audience, it's apparent that the power and beauty of Hallelujah is such that it elevates many a singer.

And, just as often, one hears commentators rave about the performance - when, it can be the song that is providing most of the inspiration.

Truly, 't'is a timeless masterpiece of popular song. :D

(As for Mod, I thought we were talking of the Gaelic!)

yeah i heard about this poll - i and also agree that it is definetely one of his very best and yes, possibly his master piece

i also think that i heard leonard say himself in an interview that he thought that hallelujah was one of his 2 best songs, the other one being 'if it be your will' (if i remember rightly)

Argh, I'm so sick of Hallelujah - it's everywhere, and every snot nosed punk that reckons he or she can sing a lick to save their ass is covering it and it's really sending me round the bend.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAArrrgghh
Now you've got the gist of what my lettuce meant.

Would anyone know where I could get the Antony and the Johnsons version? I've been searching for hours with no success. Thanks.

I don't know who you are, KjXXXer, or where you live, but if you were sick of Hallelujah cover versions over a year ago, and if you live in the UK, I guess now you must have taken to your bed entirely, in a terrible state.

I do hope you'll be feeling better soon - maybe in the New Year normal service will be resumed and everyone will go back to covering Abba and Robbie Williams angel songs.

All best,
Habie
