I can judge them objectively regardless of source, as I love you all equally.

but to placate those concerned, I NEED AN INTERTHINGY NOW.

If no one's volunteered yet, Mike, I've just created an email specifically for this. It'll get used regardless, but here it is: cohenescape07@yahoo.com [as you know, the "mailto:" part got there by default and is NOT to be included in the email address, which actually begins at "cohen . . . "].

If I interthingy [verb form], though, please put your poem in the body of your email, so I won't have any attachments to open. I'll still copy-and-paste them on to Michael.

3 cheers all round to Lizzy, who can also send me her own entry annonthingy this way.

so use her new addy please.

I just received one really excellent entry which went straight to my hotmail trash folder for some weird reason, but that don't make it junk.

Michael and Manna ~

Please email me at the new address to let me know where you want the poems sent... it can get burdensome if sent to your PM box, Manna [though you may already have guessed that and received the entries so far from Michael at an email address].

Can one of you please send me those entries, please, so I can have them all accurately numbered, and in correct order from the beginning, with the writer's name/email/screen name/whatever they've chosen?

Thanks.

There's other information I've added to the "addie" posting, so if you're writing a poem for submission to the contest, please read that, too.

Thanks.

Pete,
Michael said earlier that winners will be announced 19th September. I don't think I've seen a closing date though, but not such a lot of time left now.

Here Be A Question:

Mickey_one, is only one entry allowed per person, or will you accept multiple submissions?

Not that I intend to try and impress you with lots of poems (or even one for that matter), but just in case I fall foul of a creative avalanche.

Hi BOAW & Pete ~

I asked about this in the "Addy" thread re: # of submissions. In the past, multiples were allowed, but I can't remember if there was a limit... if so, maybe it was five[?].

Pete ~ I realized after I posted over there, too, that I'd not thought to ask about the deadline. In the past, that's been a somewhat 'crucial' matter with different time zones and people's working schedules and weekends and such, so that really oughta get clarified... especially if September 19 remains the announce date [time for judging and final decision-making inclusive]. It appears that the 19th was chosen because of Leonard's birthday on the 21st... yet, with the winning entry[ies?] being read at the pre-Barbican get-together, I'm wondering if it might not be extended beyond Leonard's birthday.

Michael ~ Can you answer these queries in the "Addy" thread, so all submission info is gathered together in one spot?

Thanks, if it be your will  .

Sorry. 'Twas beaten into me by a very nasty English teacher at school to never begin a sentence without a capital letter. And since the sentence began with a name/nick-name I couldn't force my hand to do anything else but succumb to the conditioning.

So, the depth of her nasty conditioning made you capitalistically dyslexic, as well, BOAW. Have you sought counseling?

The socialist in me wants to see capitals everywhere and for everyone and everything, but the capitalist in me wants me to strictly limit them to appropriate use only :(

Looks like the socialist is winning that internal battle.
