Re: God is in His Heaven...
Cheers Diane. My feeble first attempt at a (or is it an) Haiku. What can I say, trying to think outside of my IQ again

If I say Jung was an asshole what do you read into that, Mat?
An anal fixation. Or haemhorroids?

Re: God is in His Heaven...
I would say it is more a comment on you than Jung, dangermouseIf I say Jung was an asshole what do you read into that, Mat?
It implies that the mouse is a myth
and the danger is a method
and that your anal upbringing
and relationships
haemhorroid under the strain

Oy, Birdon, don't create something beautiful and then call it feeble
.

Re: God is in His Heaven...
What I like about your haiku, Bird, is its literalness of description, but in such a poetic way... and how rain is the unifier, with peace taking the place of the sun. It just feels good in such a natural, yet mysterious way.

Thank you ladies. You're both very kind. I wrote it in response to Dangermouse' comment to Diane. And yes Dangermouse, I was counting syllables all the way! I also ripped the first line from Jimmy's comment prior to mine on page 1.
I like your poem Jimmy. I think the narrative style you used worked well. Although I may be biased as I am very familiar with, and fond of, the places you spoke of. Green double deckers and bus conductors! Flashback city!!

Hi John,
Welcome to the forum at long last! You will have to be careful though, it can become addictive. Like the handle you chose. Did you receive your print yet?

Elder fledgling is not PC friendly yet ,got his first lap top last week and currently being taught by a 10 year old ,
all going well so far . We're working on him ,will try to get him on board . But do you really want 3 siblings

Grecian Man........tales of skeletons in the sibling cupboards.....of course we want them. Every new member to the forum has to disclose one embarrassing thing about himself OR SOMEONE CLOSE TO HIM - it's a rite of passage. Didn't Birdonawire tell you this? Or what his disclosure was about?
