New Poem (on the short side)
but that doesn't stop me writing. So here it is
OFTEN
Often, I have wondered.
____________________________________________________________________
this poem is multi=layered, multi-cultural, and multi-millionaire material. I wonder if anyone would be bold enough (and underlined enough) to perform this at the pre-Glass thingy?

(Mickey_One you have a reputation for starting things and not finishing them.......or is that only in summer? Autumn is nearly here now.)

Hi Blonde Madonna
Often I have wondered ................. why you have chosen this unattractive avatar. Really doesn't reflect your upbeat personality. Can you ditch it with out incurring financial penalties?

Mickey_One ...The 4 Goddesses and 1 demi-goddess.......may be available, by video link, for a courageously interpretative performance of your latest works as a taster to the Glass event. Better still if you could start another abbreviated piece. Then to the delight of all, we could present a trilogy.

Blonde Madonna - We really shouldn't indulge him. He'll casually drop by tomorrow and see a couple of hundred views unless we put a stop to it now. I know I started it but that's because it's late and I don't want to go to bed on my own. Anyway, if you don't, I won't. What do you say? If Manna and Christine and Lizzy know we're here they'll be over and before we know it..........

Re: New Poem (on the short side)
In this instance I was literally taking my cue from you damellon (and Mickey Numero Uno).
However, I also think it can be reactionary and relative. I may look chirpy on this forum but elsewhere…
Is it indulging him or making our own fun?
ps the picture is from one of my favourite books (The Arrival by Shaun Tan).

Re: New Poem (on the short side)
Monday night gigs as well? He is a busy man.
Can't keep up with your edits! Lizzy IS around somewhere but we can be like Mickey-the-one-and-only and leave things half finished.

WEll, too latte, Chi-Goddess. I see Manna and Christine haven't made it, yet; but I'm here amidst your and Blonde Madonna's presence and am resolutely not saying a woid.

Blonde Madonna - You have me snookered there. No not gigging - practising in the next room. Banjo players are notoriously forceful - they have a taste for fancy licks and fast fingering. Before I know where I am I'll be shouting 'hot jiggety!' and blowing a mouth organ. Best go to bed. Lizzy - nice to see you, but I really have to go.
Talk again soon.

So do I, Damellon... two days late to work in the last two weeks is two days too many. An early night tonight, after a long weekend.
Hope you make it to the bed before the 'hot jiggety!' gets you, or it's all over.

Pre-glass is sand, pre-sand is rock, pre-rock is startdust, and miggy played guitar. I look forward to seeing your live version of Bird. And lovely as thou art/ even in that dress/ you still have to sort/ your own bloody mess.mickey_one wrote: this poem is multi=layered, multi-cultural, and multi-millionaire material. "pre-sand is rock"
Um...? Don't know if you know, but you skipped about 20 steps here, more or less, depending on the kind of sand.
often I have wondered, eh? This is our new toy? how about...
