This is a more personal poem
COME TO ME
Come to me, my beloved,
come out of the Song of Songs,
come from between the pages,
through the ages,
to soothe my rages,
pay the wages
of sin
when you come
my beloved.

I like the way you write, DM. Your style seems beyond your biological years.

Re: More Personal
Hey thanks Lizzy.
I guess growing up an only child with parents who were "different" meant that I felt from theage of 15 that I was an adult. Looking back now (only three years on but....) I feel I may have been too adult in some ways (as I spilled in my personal beans elsewhere). But I guess you grow up where and with the people and places you are so I don't regret things.

I can see why you joined the Leonard Cohen Forum dangermouse.
Have you read "Dark Night of the Soul" by San Juan de la Cruz?
I have also written a poem about this relationship between the Soul and her relationship with "the Beloved".
This is my sort of stuff.
I love it.
I feel that this poem of yours has only just begun.
I look forward to reading more, if it comes.
