I was just wondering which song you guys would choose as a wedding song, as in the first dance? (if any...) :D

The first song, if it were me, would be "Dance Me to the End of Love," and it seems Tom's suggestion for "I'm Your Man" would be a great second one, immediately following. Great energy and humour contrasts.

Is this to be your own wedding, Taisce?

Feng Shui and some other practices of positive imaging and mindset would have this the exactly right thing to do :D . Think on, Taisce...

I would suggest you "Dance me to the end of love" and "I'm your man" as well...and in case of a proposal:
Baby,let's get married,
we've been alone too long.
Let's be alone together.
Let's see if we're that strong.
Let's do something crazy,
something absolutely wrong
while we're waiting
for the miracle to come.

Ballad of the Absent Mare...(I know its not going to be too evident to your guests that its a love song---but its your wedding, not theirs).

I didn't like this song too much at first until I really listened and understood that its a song about the struggle of a union, the sacrifices we make for that union and the delicate balance of give & take...
Anything that doesn't kill you only serves to postpone the inevitable.

Perfect for a marriage.
