Don’t know how long the electroshocks lasted
I awoke to the doctor and nurse by my bedside
“He’s breathing normal” said the doctor
breathing normal ???
they made me so normal
that I am now breathing it
breathing it out
what if it’s contagious?
I’m going to cause the whole world
to become normal
I should stop breathing





no that won’t work
I know, as soon as I get the chance
I will kill myself
then the nurse, my saviour
who took so long to decide
between being a nurse or english teacher
corrected him
“Yes, he’s breathing normally “
they should teach all doctors grammar.

What a great slice-of-life piece of humour, Jack . That kind of wherewithal at such a time is nothing less than amazing . I loved the punchline , which then reverberated backward .

They are a lot like Heroin, and last about fifteen minutes, I have a memory that I awoke during the operation but I don't know if this is true. Quite barbaric stuff designed to jolt the patient into a new frame of mind, sadly said "patients" don't respond to any other treatment and the big angry psychiatrist gets mad and so goes ZAP! Post op cigarettes were one of the most surreal periods of my entire nonexistence; I would like to assert that this took place 9.5 years ago and I've subsequently gotten over depression, today I dabble in blue but am mostly red.
