Isolate I - The Story of A Man and His Sandcastle

Marlow, River flow: Conrad and his Kurtz
Shakespeare, heady beer, the freedom and the fear
Poe quothed his Raven, “Nevermore”
How did that tale get out his chamber door?

Buddha donned rags, a wooden bowl
Walked with good posture through one of life’s lessons
To the next,
“Meditate on this: ! ”

Jesus
Would want to be a doctor
These days
To be given any cred

Kundalini
Sleeps naked
Away,
No further than proper breath

Resentment has spread like wild fire
With voting
And
Social organization

Love is,
What -
Peace is -
Is joy?

Greatness comes with nothing
Nothing more than, “I…”

The ocean whispers it’s greeting today
Along the sure line
Isolate I
Isolate I

“Fuck you,”
is my metered response
Another ocean tear
Falling from thine eye

The haikuesq-baiyat of albert khayyam

Punch-drunk apostate
drops to ripple-round in myth
...backward beaconing

humming saffron-dusk
baritone didgeridoo
omni pad-me aum...

an Einstein for an I ?
a billion suns look to me
brahma at-man-I

mind’s muddy waters clear
eclect to clarity
arcs in consciousness

arks in suspension...
this coracle-oracle
kayaks deep waters

why whine while wine’s cup’d ?
as Armageddon autumns
now will still be now

poetic zenith ?
e=mc²
some summ’ry son’s sum

moonwine Eden dreams
pore I ,lapping cups of you...
...starry lamps unveil...

Have been left to wonder whether there is any point to my entries given Mat's poetry, but then figured if I am but a muse to such great works than I should give myself a pat on the back - I'd rather pat myself on the back as if I let Mat I fear I'd cough up an organ.

I made a few changes to this piece given Mat's reaction, to give it more independence from myself. I must remember to do these things well before submission, but then again it is reaction that sharpens the sword for any purpose; and a blunt utensil is a bloody mess. I did suffer a momentary thought, "I wanna take it off now!" but I like the wave and the wind metaphor to much to do that.

Thank you again for your great work Mr Mat.
James.

I do the things that I enjoy
and not the things I should
I try to live life every hour
the way we wish we could
write and think with all my heart
laugh, all I can
avoiding doing funless chores
that make a boy a man!

thanks for the thoughts James, and, the inspiration!
