You can't hide from insanity
said the Angel to the Saint
so lets put it to the test

I'm not afraid of insanity
replied the Saint
are you afraid of Darkness?

I'm not afraid of Darkness
we all have fears to face
Walk awhile beside me
before we pass through the Gates of Heaven
we must pass the Gates of Hell
In order to be true to others
we must resist temptation and the desires of the flesh

Through the Darkness I see you
standing naked before me
now I must confess
suppressing my desires becomes a struggle
and Insanity unfolds its mystery
taunting me with proposition
I will not obey

I will walk beside you Sweet Angel
in the footsteps of broken love
(the mistress of Insanity)
so spoke the Saint

As the world turns from Love to Hate
we must put our views on trial

Are we guilty of our sins
or did we submit to temptation
to be a slave to Insanity?
said the Angel to the Saint

We are guilty if temptation is a sin
but innocent if we sinned as slaves

When Heavens Gates opened
we danced through the Devils rain
that inticed us wth open arms
to mingle with the sane

We can accept the pain of Insanity
but we can never understand the misery of the sane
until we flirt with its mystery
and cross the edge

Will you follow me?
said the Angel
and wander in unrest
beyond the forgotten graves
of hearts long departed

Without fear or judgement
we must face the truth
we must be prepared to face the truth
and exist side by side
with the worshippers and the unbelievers
we must release Insanity
in redemption for our forgiveness

We must deliver all that we promise
to make us equal

Into the mystery
into the misery
of the fires of Insanity
2 lovers dance and vanish

Show us the faces you wear
appear before us from behind your masks
Show us your reality
so we might believe in you
demand the lovers
of each other

Love works in mysterious ways
and reveals itself to us
so why does it hide in disguise
until it slides inside our weakness
and gives us to Insanity

Come pray with us
for the saving of your souls
demanded the Angel

I have not appearred before you
in search of your souls
I am here to curse you
in condemnation
for it is yourselves you see
replied Insanity

We have given our hearts in sacrifice
to the mystery of love

The Angel reached out and touched Insanity's hand
and Insanity fell into the fire
and crumbled into dust
and turned into love's ashes

And the struggle was over

And 2 lovers woke from an Insane dream........
