Elizabeth ~
Little wonder we each made memorical errors... it's been awhile...
Of course it has...

and it's not like I've been
hopelessly drunk or anything.

the term 'net loss' floats into my Pisces mind for consideration...
v is the 5th to the end letter in the alphabet. That's all I have to say about v.
Hmm, that's a veiled come on
if ever I saw one.

Always generic, good news... Amazing coincidence, though... neither have I.

That would be venturing into uncharted territory, in which all 26 letters would be of no consequence.

Yes, you're right, however, in that veiled begins with a v.

I would like to see "natter" replaced with "et cetera," much preferring the tone of the latter.
If not this time, the next.

Did I detect a hint
of you trying to mock me?

Hmm, now that was brutal...
you really know
how to hurt a guy.

Whatever you say Bertha.

I think we should add that it was actually written by another friend of mine, the Danish poet and performer Bo Lille. Last October he published "Haiku på dansk - med skævt smil og skæve øjne". He is also one of the editors of the daily haiku in Dagbladet Information throughout all of 2006.

Maybe it is possible to turn Old Love Letters into haiku style? Hmmm....

Take care!

With the gentle beauty of haiku, this would be wonderful.

Elsie ~

Aside from your great idea regarding the competition [which, of course, won't be likely to be standardized :( ], would you mind translating that haiku that Michael co-opted?

Hi Lizzy ~

Bo Lille's original haiku in English (I hope) is right there at the beginning of this thread, and I believe you've already commented on it :D

Languages....

Btw, when I first joined the LC Newsgroup back in 1999, Michael welcomed me in Danish! I was quite puzzled - and have continued to be so ever since

Ah, yes... so it is and so I have :D ! Somehow, I lost sight of that.

< * not that anything's occurred here in the interim, of course ~ ohhh, like looking for an oasis  * >

So, Thanks :D !

Ah ~ Leave it to Michael to do something like that  . That's great  ~ I guess he may be hiding behind Norway's being "a province of Denmark"? :P

Hi Martine ~

Today's the big Day... Valentine's & Root Canal. I hope it goes well for you. I guess you won't feel much like eating chocolate.

Happy Valentine's Day, in any case. One out of two ain't bad  .

It's about 2:52 GMT now. I'm guessing your sedation should be wearing off by now. Hope you're doing well. Incense and candles again? Music?

Ah, okay :D ! I'm glad to hear that it went better than you expected. I had considered [when I wrote my last message] to tell you that they tend not to be as bad as people make them seem, but I didn't want to give you false hopes and expectations, either, just in case... better that the reverse happen, as it did. I'm glad your toothache is dust.

Geezow, Martine... sounds like not a good string of days, at all :? .

If I could but grant you a blissful 24 hours, you could count on me to do it, Martine :) . I'm only sorry that I can't. Your coming week is sure to be better?? It's so hard when things pile up and come at us like some unforeseen, unknown monster  . I hope it gets better for you.

Will coming here help :) ? Or, just make it worse  ?

Hey ~ Our Poetry Comp is finally on... dates to be announced, but it's truly official now. Perhaps, you can write a poem. I'm going to be the Interthingy... and am definitely NOT writing a poem this time.

Lizzy, it is unclear from your last post, will you be writing a poem in the comp. or not? We have a right to know.

Yes, I know, Mickey... I'm rather ambivalent these days. If I can come to a decision on it, you'll be the first to NO... I mean, KNOW!

Maybe some tea leaves over the weekend...
