DO YOU THINK THAT THIS POEM ENCAPSULATES THE ESSENCE OF THE WAR ISSUE?

Peom is me and not war anyway gone

Post by paula_hansen »

This is undoubtedly the best poem on this Board, composed for many a year.

Oh great Dictator
Georgius Bushus
elected on a distinctly dodgy man
date
with the shoot shoot
of guns
and the other noises
appropriate to War
with the screaming whimpers
and blood running stuffies
why why
we ask ourselves
why
but the answer
is not War
or the question
would
undoubtedly
be a peaceful one
(or maybe
not)

Let me be the first to vote, although the childishness of it makes me laugh.
I believe some of you have your head stuck in the sand somewhere.

dear paula hansen,

to respond to your astonishment, there seems to have been arrows flying in both directions which is no justification, yet perhaps a clue.

Read again, the childishness of voting on it here makes me laugh, is that a bit clearer. As for the poem??? Are you from the United States Paula??

I thought you meant childishness to refer to the poem itself, too, Linda.
