Well, something is odd. What did Kim do while Leonard was gone? I am not suggesting that he rummaged through Leonard's drawers because that would be pure speculation. But I am suggestig that Kim didn't just stand by the window admiring the view, because otherwise he might have seen Leonard standing down the driveway puffing on a cigarette. But where did the chicken come from? Maybe he had some frozen packets of drumsticks which he threw into a microwave and pretended that he'd been 'next door to a take-away' - when all the time it was the craving for nicotine that made him so deceitful. There's something not right about this whole thing. Lizzytysh, why didn't you mention about the small bruise on the right side of the toe-nail on Anjani's right foot? Either she stumbled into something, stubbing her big toe or else someone stepped on it. I wondered what she might have said when it happened - whether or not she might have used some unladylike language. As well as the toe-rings she is wearing a ring on her engagement finger, the ring finger of her right hand. I like the idea of fitting those metal carpet protectors beneath the base of the chair, but the leather seat and edging are becoming so worn that the lime green coating has flaked away in places. Shall I tell you what was most fascinating, though? Those two goatskin suitcases! Aren't they fabulous? Bridget Bardot would give Leonard and Anjani a ticking off if she saw them but it's none of her business what they buy.

Actually, Snow, I did notice [what I thought to be] the [one] briefcase ~ I'll have to return to find the 2nd one. It/they seemed rather 'over the top' to me ~ something Leonard surely wouldn't carry, nor something I'd have suspected for Anjani, either. Hmmm. Being an animal-rights person, I'm not thrilled seeing it, no matter whose it/they are. However, I can't imagine they bought it/them ~ perhaps, a gift or an inheritance?
I didn't notice the toe ring, though that's a 'shame on me,' for sure, being a Pisces...the feet are the related body part for that sign. Hmmm. Bruise
!?! I didn't notice it, either...or, I would have. Oh, dear; perhaps, those metal carpet protectors at the bottom of the chair legs? Sedate she may be, but not sedated; I'm confident the situation-appropriate words were uttered when it happened. No Lizzy-"Dang!"s, either. Dang wouldn't come anywhere near me, at a stubbing.
I noticed the worn leather, too, but liked that comfortable-retro aspect. That "Be For Real" thing ~ leather wears. I guess you could say it's just more evidence of that high-falutin' lifestyle Leonard's, legal detractors have accused him of [sorry about that of
].
Interesting theory on the sudden, egg manoeuvre ~ but, until I know more, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. So, did he smell of smoke when he returned? You know there's no way to get rid of that. Still, he seems the type to just light up, if that's what he wants. Even if he smoked outside at Anjani's request, real men don't mind owning up to that, either. So, a cigarette just seems the more unlikely. Still, it remains a mystery. So, maybe the Pope knows.
Over here, however, the engagement hand is the left not the right [guess I didn't need to add that, did I ~ what other hand would've been left, I mean right
] ~ so, semantics aside, that would simply be a friendship ring
.
It's been nice talking with you
~ we'll get to the bottom of this, yet.
~ Lizzy

Sometimes, when people come to my house, I pretend I have to go out and get something for a minute or two. I leave a little tape-recorder that I have hidden behind some books running. Then after they've gone home I play the tape and hear if they've said anything bad about me. That's a good way of knowing if you can trust people or not. Maybe Leonard is like me.

Snow, I think this avatar suits you best. It reminds me on my grandma who sat in her chair busy with knitting, warning me of all kind of things, not to waste money, not to smoke, not to be naughty to the teachers and not to date girls from the UK.
Dr. Kim - I am filled with envy - I need your advice.

All the mail etc. was addressed to the office of Stranger Management since early 1990's. It was a company owned and run by LC's former manager. Recently it has turned out that A LOT of untreated stuff was just stored in the office. The management has been re-organized now. The address is on the "Latest News" and "Authors" pages on the main site. What a weird and wonderful meeting. I've been sending books, CDs, tapes, letters and cards to Leonard for years and never received a single reply - not that I expected to

I remember sending a Cd with my early LC- cover band to stranger music. I do not hope LC ever got the item, cause we were terrible, even worse than now. If Leonard ever heard our interpretations I think we would be responsible of him letting go of his art. I mean there is only so much a man can take.

Meeting with Leonard and Anjani
Hi everyone,
A couple of years ago, I sent Leonard a package with copies of WRITE AWAY magazine (he allowed us to print "This isn't China" in the issue, dedicated to him). This was in February. In July, I received a handwritten note from Leonard, thanking for my effort. The note, however, was dated March 13.
We bemoan Canada Post here, but I don't think that it was a Canada Post issue. It's really too bad that someone was remiss in taking care of his correspondence.
I hope that the new management company will do a better job.
Best,
Natalie
P.S. I like to abandon guests under the guise of "running out just to get a few things." Then I place a recording device in my premises in order to tape what is being said about me. Later, I play the tape and if friends have been out of line, then I will dissolve the relationship.
Ha ha ha. I laughed when I read what's been written regarding THE VISIT. I may be paranoid, but I'm not THAT paranoid.

We have had a lot of excellent feedback on the report. Many people asked for more detail on some aspects, and others thought that it should be rewritten so that people unfamiliar with the fan movement could also understand it. We have produced a revised version of the report which you can find at http://www.leonardcohennights.org/2005/meeting.htm Hope you like it! Would welcome more suggestions. Cheers. - Kim

Hey YdF - You're even more negative than usual! Usually you say at least one polite thing for every angry and negative comment, but right now you're on a negative streak (Dr. Kim, moderator Tom, Geoffrey, Dick Cheney).
Can't be about the forum, nothing's really changed there.
Did you need a hug? Not from me, I recommend bee. She still seems to find something about you to like.
Best wishes,
John K.

Kim,
Thank you for the additional comments about your visit to Mr Cohen. You wrote well and succinctly and conveyed the moods of the encounter well. Thank you again.
To the moderators,
I try to not perpetuate the negative aspects of any forums even when jibes are directed towards me personally, because this only promulgates bad feelings and ill will every where, and the world needs less of bad atmosphere. Even with that consideration I must simply ask why some people that post on these forums are allowed to continuosly and contemptably criticize other posters while they add absolutely nothing positive to the commentary and often initiate personal attacks steming from their obvious vendettas? Would people like this even be missed if you barred them? I am not talking about honest corrections of facts or even debates about subjective discussions that add viscera to commentary. I am speaking about those who are obvious trolls. Your consideration of this matter would be appreciated by many I am sure.
To everyone who post here I wish you peace.

"From the young ladies' point of view I talked about the fact that they are much prettier than the original Sisters of Mercy from 1966 they were striking the same poses as (we have pictures of them from 1966)."
The young ladies may be for nothing in all this and may be real ladies, but this is not a comment made by a gentleman. This was not necessary. This is even superfluous. Well, let say it plain : it is rude (people are not pet robot dogs, they have feelings, and moreover they diserve to be respected whatever their sex etc are. When they take this picture, they did not run for a beauty contest anyway. Buddy
. This is a gross mistake in a nice report. I jumped the first time I read it, but I was too interested by the visit. But, you know... it could be improved, this part. Leonard Cohen would never had done this mistake.
As this is one of this rare time YdF is relevant.
Please don't attack him with a troll tag for this one. Also Margaret would be great for the job. Yes, to see "the question" from many angles (through many people) is more interesting.
