Allison Crowe Performs in Europe & Canada!

Post by lizzytysh »

Allison has done a cover of "Hallelujah" ~ I have several cds of hers, and she's an awesome singer, and apparently performer, as well. She writes songs, sings, and plays the piano. She has a beautiful face, long, red hair, and a powerful, yet tender, voice. This is her schedule [in the context of the e-mail Adrian has sent], since her manager [Adrian du Plessis], who has interacted here before, is apparently too busy at the moment to bring her schedule to this site, for anyone who might be interested. If she was in my proximity, I'd sure enough go see her. I hope some of you here will.
"If you are disgustingly sincere and terribly diligent, there are ways
for any serious artist to operate outside the corporate structure,"
says
Ani DiFranco, "the little folksinger who could".

Combine that philosophy with a giant talent, and a singular gift of
voice and song, and you have Canada's Allison Crowe.

Since starting her own record label just over two years ago, Crowe has
released four albums to widespread critical and popular acclaim, toured
over 40,000 km., and created some of the most naturally beautiful music
of today.

(You can preview a pair of new songs, Effortless + Skeletons and
Spirits, to be recorded for release in '06: @

Dear Lizzy ~

Thank you kindly for posting the info for any interested music-lovers.

Allison's tour of Europe is going tremendously well. And you are quite right about how hectic things can be!! (I will write you by email once we are back in Canada - we have been mostly relying on internet cafes when and where we can find them, between concert dates.)

Today we are in Paris - for Alley's performance at a lovely venue, 7Lezards.

Happy Thanksgiving to all celebrating in America ( :

peace & cheers to everyone, everywhere!

Hi Adrian ~

You're welcome, my pleasure. I'm not sure if Tim made his decision pre- or post- my posting, as I'm recalling it was pre- [however, there are many readers here, so even if the net caught one more 8) , it's well worth it, as you know :) ].

I'm really glad to hear things are going so well. Gosh! Even if the venue was right next door to the airport  ~ 3 hours  . Ah, well, I guess I always like to slot in time for all the unknowns, or simply much-deserved rest, after nothing went awry :) . I know you'll have your own ways of scheduling now, and I guess it must have been working well for you 'til now, with the way you were doing it. Just different approaches  . As I recall, it was horrible traffic that resulted in Leonard's riding onstage at a concert on a white horse.

You probably won't read this for awhile, either. However, I look forward to hearing from you :D . Hectic, yes; that's quite a schedule. Just going to London, Athens, and Hydra [clothing only, no cumbersome equipment or set-ups] was plenty hectic...

Be well, Adrian :) . Allison, too, of course :D .

Love,
Lizzy
