Paula,

Your misquote of me is very funny, really. :) But, by all means,
if your prayers for me will be positive, add me to them.

yes, Steven. I feel most sincerely that you are worth saving. On the other hand there are a number of twisted souls here who propogated a thread devoted to obscenity and sculpture, let's pray together that those low-lifes rot in hell!

paula, I thought that we are all God's children (Lutherans find it ok to type his name, btw).
I love to speak with John

Paula,

Do you feel that God is powerful enough to help cleanse your
heart of such poisonous feelings? If so, consider praying that
that he does so for you. If you were trying to be funny, consider
asking for the gift of funnyness.

Hi, Vince What's up with you these days?
It's Elizabeth...
she likes to keep me on my toes
though the shackles on the ceiling
seemed a little excessive
if you ask me.

I've always had dangerous desires bee,
and consequences?
well, you see I'll always admit
to one inescapable truth
the female is boss...

I mean, on what stage
would we male peacocks strut and fret
were it not first for the female?
Imagine: no more Sunday afternoon rugby bloodbaths;
no more political posturing for the tv cameras
and no more chest-thumping that
my God is better than your God.
Yes, imagine.

So, inspired by the natural order of all that is,
we men should resolve that henceforth
all females should be treated as a Goddess.
We men should revere and adore the female of the species
and count our blessings
when we are called upon to be of service to them.
Like bringing them a glass
of chilled champagne and creme brulee in the afternoon.
Not only would it affirm one of life's essential realities
like how did I get here?
but it would also serve to cause less stress
and induce more overall enjoyment
in every male's daily experience.

I would believe that, I would, even without second guessing what room you are in. You see-if you just run to daddy Paul, getting the quotes from him, wanting to wash my mouth and wash me all over with daddy's quotes, like with a soap, it would still give me an idea, that you are hiding many, great many things.
ROFL!! Baby laughing, Bee! Gurgle, gurgle!

Sorry Vince
It could not be
Man on top
A necessity

Think of a primate
Standing so tall
He and his harem
Nature's own call

They burn a bra
Have morning tea
Someone's still bitchin'
"I want equality"

Fact is we're different
Down to the core
Two naked bodies
Behind a closed door

And the man is the boss
It's his say that goes
But respect for his woman
From her head to her toes

That's how they fit
Like a hand in a glove
No other way
In this magic called love

Hi Fljots ~

I'm just stopping in to tell you again how much I enjoy you/your being here. To speak out as you do on your own, personal beliefs regarding G~d and Jesus does not ~ as you know ~ automatically align you with any kind of majority here. You're a strong woman, who stands strong and tall [or short, as the case may be  ], warding off blows of one sort or another, but standing firm with what you believe.

From what I've observed, the non-Christians still tend to accept/believe in the concept of G~d, even though their faith or spirituality may not embrace Christ as the Son of G~d, etc. So, there are others who could undermine you in your stand. They don't, as they accept that you have a right to your beliefs. It's good to know that you have certainly fully explored the Christian faith, prior to coming to your current position. Which church were you a part of?

Love,
Lizzy

Hullo, Lizzy. :) Thank you.
What a thoughtful woman you are. I appreciate it. :)

As for standing up for what I believe - I always have, whether standing up for a god or standing up for myself or standing up for others. Ehhhh... I was always one to foolishly stick my chin out and say "Go on - hit me then! I DARE you!" If that is strength then, yes, I'm strong, lol!

I certainly did explore what I believed in great depth (imo). I asked the questions that tend to be glossed over by christian teachers (clergy, priests, elders, etc) - (such as, for example, why god told the Hebrews to commit genocide when they entered the promised land, but we today condemn genocide as an appalling act; or why it is ok for god to make his angels lie when it is not ok for the rest of us; and why Satan was condemned for lying when god had lied first ) - and was neither given, nor could I find, satisfactory answers. That is not to say there were NOT answers given - of course there were - but they were VERY thin and contorted!
*sigh* I always had a questioning mind. I could never 'just accept' that if "god says so/does so, it MUST be right, because he is God!!" nor that answer I was given by Catholic priests and nuns when I was a girl: that "We are not meant to understand these things." (I was brought up Catholic, but abandoned it at age 15.)

Yes, a lot of people have a genuine belief in a god/gods of some sort; even more have a vague, amorphous belief that doesn't affect their lives much, if at all; and there are some (hopefully a growing number) who are either passive Atheists or positive Anti-theists. Guess which I am.

I have great respect for people who actively put christianity (or any other belief) into practice in their lives, and in their dealings with others - so long as the faith is not such that it is inimical to others.
And I abhor religious hypocrisy and/or self-righteousnness! I wanna smack 'em in the mouth, lol!

PS: I'll keep my former religion to myself, please. I still have a great respect for them, and I don't wish to represent myself as an example! I'm not!

PPS: I stand short, not tall, lol! I'm 5'-and-a-tiny-fraction tall.
