For what it's worth, there is a lot of discussion over here about the knock-on effect of the CIA leak and pending indictment, today in the US. The really interesting news is that it is very likely that the Vice President will also be on the receiving end of a court 'knock on his door.'
I get the sense that eyes and ears that were kept closed for so long, have now reached a stage when 'enough' has been called, albeit quietly, but none the less, still called.
This must have been the worst week for GWB and it isn't over yet. Real bodies are falling in Iraq, (2000 and counting), while metaphorical 'heads' are starting to roll back home.
We shouted our displeasure way back when, and watched in astonishment as the circus came to town. What has become evidently clear to everyone by now, is that GWB ain't no circus master; a clown certainly, but an embarrassment to his friends and colleagues. I read the US newspapers on-line. Disregarding most of what someone reports, because newspapers have their own agendas, the slow and steady groundswell of nearly all viewpoints, is the loss of faith in the 'man' who claims to talk to G-d.
If I'm stating the obvious, it may be that at long last, people are starting to recognise the obvious.
The Cheney future is exercising politically astute correspondents here.
Who wore red today?

This is a great posting, Byron. Very concise and true of what the 'real deal' is here.
Red ~ I sure didn't, not in any detail. Only two others in today so far, including the one who suggested it [though it came from outside this office] to the head honcho [those being the two I e-mailed on it]. The suggestor isn't wearing a spot of it
~ don't ya just love follow-through
.
Hopefully, others just thought, "Well, that's a dumb idea," and forgot about it. I'll be watching, though, and let you know.

OK ~ Just did a check. Only one person wearing red [in the midst of other colours in her sweater]. Yes ~ that's the reason for it, "Yes. It's what the e-mail said, sooo... I used to have a brother in the army, so...." ~ sooo, it's an emotionally-based reason, I'm guessing. Will pursue that further, later. However, "It's what the e-mail said, so..." ~ 'good sheep' vs. 'bad, disobedient sheep'?
Clarified:
I asked was she wearing the red to say, "Hurry up and win the war, so our troops can come home!" or "To hell with the war, bring our troops home!" ~ she said, "To hell with the war! They are on the other side of the world, and it's none of our business. We have people here who are homeless, and people without Medicaid or health insurance, and you are supposed to take care of your own household first, before you go to your neighbor's to try to take care of theirs!" Well, there ya' go.

Priorities are eventually being arranged in their proper order. I don't know the person, obviously, but I'm willing to bet Albert's next jar of best Australian, that a backlash from military families can't be far off either.
To those who read this and say to themselves, "Oh it's just Byron pounding on his drum again," all I ask, is that you take the time the find out how many bodybags are waiting to be used in Iraq!
American patriots are being sacrificed on the pyre of a clown's making. Lest yea forget, allies are counting their dead as well. When I see members of the families of our political leaders, donning army fatiques and going to Iraq, I'll have second thoughts about why we are there. But I'm not holding my breath waiting for that to happen.

Cheney aide, Lewis "Scooter" Libby, Jr., charged in a 5-count indictment. If found guilty on all = many years in prison.
No charges filed ~ yet ~ on Karl Rove. Stay tuned.
Friends [official word ~ cronies] appointed for the Supreme Court. Public/political pressure = withdrawal.
How many sticks does it take to break before the country realizes the House has not been built on a solid foundation?

Please note the time of my previous posting.
It was a car crash waiting to happen and it came shortly after. Nothing to be proud about here. It was too obvious. It's taken for ever to arrive though.
Just watched Cherie Jacobus, a Republican Strategist saying that the day is a good news day and then slagging off the Ambasador, Mr Wilson. I could see the puppet strings working her non-stop jaw. Poor cow. She's another one who got shafted by believing everything the Clowns told her.
Oh well, the first shark has gone in and got the first bite. The blood will start to flow and there'll be a feeding frenzy, as more heads roll and that chink where the light gets in, is levered open, wider and wider.
So sit back and and keep the mop handy. Things will get very messy from now on. The lies people believed are being peeled away like onion skins.
Muffins or war? Muffins!
Hell!, he even got heckled on a military base today! Wow!!

Right on the car crash waiting to happen. Does the time of your previous posting relate to when the indictment came down? Had it already happened when you posted? I don't have ongoing access to TV, though I guess I could keep checking my computer for the news networks.
Oh....I think I got it now
. You posted, and then, soon after, the indictment arrived
Did I finally get it
?

Yep, I should have put a bet on it! I was about 2 hours early in predicting it would happen. Rove (spl) is now a very worried man. I like the tactical way the prosecutors are going about doing this.

makes you think, don't it?

I started this thread
since then many have born
and many have dead
my muffin lies covered with
jam coloured red
as another nameless soldier
(this time Private Ryan)
bled.
I come back here after many interesting missions in the years since we last met. I pray for you all, even those who have only contributed obscenity on the disgraceful threads here that bring many a sad tear to my face, but certainly for those who know the Way of truth and Righteousness.
Remember- We Are All His Children, (even the really ugly ones.)
