Dear Vegard ~
This melts my heart. Not to mention wishing that more breakups could be of this calibre of love and understanding. This kind of love will not be forgotten....and is the kind that women tend to fly back to, once they discover the wide world out there doesn't always hold the kindest of currents. I'm not suggesting you wait, of course; but that your love for this woman will be remembered with deep fondness, and may well be revisited by her.

Hi Vegard,
I've commented on your poetry before, which I found to be quite 'soulful', maybe a bad choice of words, but that's what I felt.
This may not be autobiographical, but it could be for many of us. Also, I could not help but notice the addition of this avatar, which suggests, perhaps, that you've found yourself 'in the rough'.
I like the poem and I like to ponder what's behind both poem and poet.
Thanks.
Linda.

Linda
, I'm glad you liked it. Soulful,
, flattering..
Yes the avatar, I wondered if you'd be able to tell what it was after the whole resizing proccess
....
Heh, I've just spent the last fifteen minutes trying to figure out a way to post a larger version of the avatar
, but nevermind, it's a small dandelion quietly resting in the green spring grass. Quite peaceful actually

Some drunken ramblings...
<fills glass>
Love is not a destination that once reached
everything makes sense
and every insecurity we harbour magically evaporates.
Rather it's a journey that exposes us to our inner frailties
our vulnerableness
providing the opportunity,
the choice, as to what step we wish to take next.
That next step may be to continue with a person
or to travel separate paths.
It matters not the duration
love a minute or a lifetime.
That it is present is sufficient,
for a gift is always given...
< may as well finish the bottle>
