Future Tour Canadian Ticket Prices

Post by Tom Elson »

I'm curious what the prices for tickets were going for on the last tour. I figure now is a good time to start saving up. I'm thinking if he passes through Montreal I can catch him here, Ottawa and Toronto... or something along those lines.

I don't know what Leonard's tickets would be, but in Vancouver, Diana Krall is 94.00 6th row centre at the Orpheum. Good seats in that room are about !00.00 for just about any act. Leonard plays the same room.

I guess he usually plays - is it Massey Hall? in Toronto? So, I would presume the prices would be comparable. Dylan was only (only  ) $100 in Vancouver. Next year, it could go up a notch for everyone.

Linda.

Keep in mind his last tour was some years ago (93) so tix will be higher than they were. Probably more in line with what i mentioned up top.

Tickets will be probably around price of other artist of same league (or little cheaper :D ) - in Europe, it's about 40-50 Euros, but first rows and similar seats can go up to almost 100 (more about 80-90 in my calculations), and that's around Linda's in dollars. Recalculation from Euros: 50 US $ cheapest, up to 100 for best seats - but that depends on the hall, I mean, are all seats same price, or some are higher.

Nick Cave in Zagreb, Croatia: seats were about 40 dollars, first rows only 5 dollars more.
Bob Dylan in Graz, Austria: 60 dollars, first rows 100 dollars.

Of course, in both halls the audience were in front of stage after first song, so only naive people do buy first rows. But I think it won't be possible to do thaton Cohen shows, as he likes to have all people seated.

So, $50 US - is about $65 CDN. - then taxes and more taxes. I think it's safe to say, that it would be similar to what Diana Krall is asking for the Orpheum. Like Tom said, maybe a wee bit cheaper. The Orpheum is not a room where people can rush the stage. It houses the Symphony and is a real 'theatre'. And, of course, next year will bring higher prices as all years do.
