When the weather's hot & hazy on a lazy day I listen to REM "Imitation of Life" & "Summer Turns to High" with the lyric Summer's here, the light is raising hopes and dragonflies..... makes me leap aropund! On the balmy eve as the sun sets late and it's too hot to sleep it's Dylan's "Not Dark Yet" that plays in my head.

Practice your T-Rex moves and make a scene.

I love Not Dark Yet. It is one of my favourite songs that I return to a lot.Jonnie Falafel wrote:When the weather's hot & hazy on a lazy day I listen to REM "Imitation of Life" & "Summer Turns to High" with the lyric Summer's here, the light is raising hopes and dragonflies..... makes me leap aropund! Hello T,
Well, I don't know T.Rex but I knew T.Rex. As a matter of fact, I'm refreshing my memory by trying out some of their dance moves right this second. Funny how these little synchronicities come about...
Oh, and like I tried to type, didn't they go out with the dinosaurs? No matter - wait until you see the tape of me dancing - just like T.Rex!!
Why am I getting the feeling that I've missed something important here? You are referring to the group T.Rex of old, aren't you? Or, is there a song by the same name? Either way...

I've seen Paul Westerberg's name around here. I think someone has a quote of his in their sig. Maybe you? Anyway, I'm not familiar with him. Never heard of him. I guess a girl could do some research. I imagine there are listen clips on the 'net. In fact, I've not heard of the bulk of what you have in your list. That's why I like these type of lists. I've picked up some very interesting stuff by artists I didn't know existed.
Thanks,
Linda.
Thanks,

I try to name a couple more obscure names just because commercial music would never give them room to breath.linda_lakeside wrote:I've seen Paul Westerberg's name around here. The Mountain Goats are a band I recently discovered and they have been around for almost a decade and they still haven't really made a dent yet. The funny thing is there AMAZING!!! Its interesting to point out the influences in there work. From Raymond Carver to William Faulkner. I recommend everyone picks up there latest release. The Sunset Tree. You can hear samples on Amazon.com
Cheers
