I'll tell you something: there was birdsong on the phone, in their kitchen, in the "livingroom", and the bathroom too.
And it wasn't Lizzy's fault : the blame lies with the company she keeps.

Delightful Paula! In America, we have a ditzy sitcom called Everybody Loves Raymond. Remove the ditz and change the name, and there you have Everybody Loves Paula! The surprize guest! The unexpected call-in was Andrew McGeever. Good things are worth waiting for with this whole group! Incredible hosts ~ all of them!
Now ~ Paula! There we were, in the midst of reading Susanne's clever, clever poem and I needed to know what "yeoman" means. After John read us the dictionary definition, I asked him to read what it says for "flirt." Here it is [verbatim] ~ the Concise Oxford Dictionary [Oxford = England, right

There's a much smaller one on the horizon....Hydra.
Last time I was there was '77.
It must have changed since then, not too much I hope.....some things have to remain the same.

A lovely size group for initiation, and one which Andrew is right to suggest that they could skew the perception of any area . England, however, can stand fully on its own.......especially Nuneaton. The Rolling Stones played there before they became famous, leaving their indelible mark of greatness, y'know. Or, was that George Eliot? Well, no matter. Greatness is greatness. The pyramid of Nuneaton used to be mentioned by Terry Wogan quite regularly as a distinctive feature of Nuneaton,,, together with the ring road which goes through the centre of the town
Back to the pyramid... it has a name..nothing exotic.. it's called Mount Judd.
There's a picture of it at the bottom of this link with an enlightening commentary prior to it.
